^Perhaps absurd for those who really hate the lighting, but not absurd for those who don't. Personally, I'm indifferent to whether or not porn scenes are available in 4k, but if someone who does care about 4k likes a scene and doesn't have any serious complaints about the way that scene is shot and lit, it makes sense to me for that person to be pleased that that scene is in 4k.
Some people like to lick the leather shoes of their future masters. _____________________________________________________ This is a stupid comment !!! I respect Jules Jordan as a good friend and also because he was able to build up his own business alone with big balls but he will never be my master and no one will never be because I don't need anyone do to my business and the day I will decide to stop this industry I will just relax and do my other business which has nothing to do with porn or sex and bring me great money !!! I respect Jules Jiordan bigly, because his pushed material is based on quality thru and thru.
LP are very fucking good at what they do and have built a name for themselves within the gangbang dp/dpp/dap frequently featuring triple stuffing like nobody before them (from my experience as a fan 2000s to now). Pay per scene model is smart way of doing business which makes sense for them and also Pierre's content. If I was startin my own adult biz producing original content regardless of category, current popularity, how its trending or competitors would offer both pay per scene and 1/3/12 month subscriptions.. lure in the innocents/curious casuals and get them hooked on my shit one way or another lol, more options for payment along with wide variety of format choices the better :P
^I don't want to rehash the entire LP business model because it's not relevant to your post and it has been done to death. What I will say is that the only thing that really separates LP from every other porn site is their choice to film extreme porn acts like DAP, DPP, TAP. We can argue that they also shoot a lot of gangbangs and fisting scenes but there are other sites that shoot that type of porn. The first three are pretty much exclusive to LP. At least in so far as they are the only company that adds those type of scenes on a daily basis.

^they are filling a niche that is vastly under served in the market, and are providing scenes daily. Are they perfect production standards? No, I mean I would take a DAP scene done by Mason any day of the week. But they get my business because they put out a large selection, and a lot of it is very good. And with some of the US stars heading over these past 2 years it really is spicing them up. I am very happy as a customer and feel I am getting full value for what I am paying. Fans who love DAP porn are really dedicated to it. Edited by - A_Fan on 8/7/2017 1:15:22 PM
^I don't think studios could survive producing DAP porn the way LP can because although there is a decent fan base that absolutely loves DAP porn. I don't think it's large enough to make it a worthwhile for most companies. It's already been established that LP is able to pay it's performers a Lot more money than most companies because they own the biggest and most profitable Tube Sites on the net. They don't actually need to make a profit with LP to make money. You could argue that Mindgeek owned companies might have a similar advantage for the same reasons as LP but I think Mindgeek has their fingers in too many pots so they have a lot less cash to pay for those very expensive DAP scenes. I'd also like to point out that although it's true that you are seeing more US performers working for LP. The actual number is still about a dozen or so and that's quite tiny when you compare it to the total number of active performers in North America. It will always be a small number because the vast majority of performers simply don't want to have two dicks shoved in their ass because it's likely to hurt a lot and may very well cause damage.

Are we really to believe that that WGCZ S.R.O. pumps money into LP out of a sense of charity to DAP fans? It seems more likely to me that they are in this game for the money, and that if LP was just losing them money they would move on.I have no doubt at all that if, say, MindGeek's sites began to shoot DAPs, there would be an increase in the number of pornstars who shoot DAP. Some of the pornstars who haven't made the trip overseas to shoot for LP, or who simply haven't shot DAP at all, would develop a sudden interest in shooting DAP if the money was available and they could shoot it for a site like Brazzers here in the US. Edited by - misspornUSA on 8/7/2017 7:46:08 PM
No we are to believe that they pump money into LP because they also own a shitload of tube sites and they use the content LP produces to make money from their tube sites. The fact that they probably also make money from LP is jus the cherry on top of their sundae. No you wouldn't. I don't know if you realise this but the vast majority of performers who do anal in porn don't actually do it in their private life but because it is a very popular fetish and pays more than vaginal porn than they choose to do it. By default that also means that most of them don't do DP's but do it in porn for the same reasons as they do anal. Now if the vast majority of performers do have anal sex in their private life then you can imagine that they sure as hell don't do DAP's. In fact I suspect that even performers who have anal sex in their private life don't do DAP's because more dicks in the ass doesn't mean more pleasure. Probably the best example of why studios wanting to shoot DAP's wouldn't mean that you would get more women willing to do it is Kink's Everything Butt site. I'm sure you are aware of the site. It has been online for 7 years and although they have had their share of women willing to try anal fisting. The total number who have done it is tiny when compared to the total number of women who have done anal and I would argue that getting a woman's fist in the ass is going to be less painful than getting two dicks.

^What do you mean "they use the content LP produces to make money from their tube sites"? I think you are assuming quite a lot about the personal lives of pornstars, but that doesn't really pertain to what I wrote anyway. None of your speculation about the offscreen sex lives of pornstars undermines my theory that "Some of the pornstars who haven't made the trip overseas to shoot for LP, or who simply haven't shot DAP at all, would develop a sudden interest in shooting DAP if the money was available and they could shoot it for a site like Brazzers here in the US." I don't know why you're talking about the kind of sex that pornstars have at home for free, or the sex they have just for their personal pleasure. EB used to only release one scene a week, every Tuesday. That puts things into perspective. Where would they have found the money to pay a lot of pornstars to shoot for them when Kink only set aside enough money for them to shoot a limited amount of content? We've gone all over this before so I'm not sure it is worth repeating. Those who don't want to support LP because of how they do 'business' have been pretty clear about it on ADT. I do think it is important that their main source of income comes from stealing and streaming their competition for free needsnto be put out there though, particularly when some naively praise their supposed 'business model.' I would say when it comes to sweaty, intense and perverse Europorn LP seems like Weak Sauce compared to Animal-Trainer Rocco and his work with Kelly Stafford. If LP was doing work at that level I would be more interested. Even with performers I love like AJ, Maddy and Proxy it doesn't have enough tease or chemistry to draw me in. Most of their stuff reminds me of the worse of Red Light District, mechanical and lifeless.

^That WGCZ S.R.O. makes money from tubesites does not mean that LP's business model isn't worthy of praise. One can simultaneously praise WGCZ S.R.O.'s for what they've done with LP while condemning them for what they've done elsewhere. Edited by - misspornUSA on 8/9/2017 11:34:22 AM
itt I learned LegalPorno operates a business that loses money but keep it going just so they maintain a tube site that doesn't even have content from LegalPorno in it. Brilliant.

This is porn everyone. We are all sketchy in morals as it is. Refusing to buy product from companies that are owned by companies that run tube sites leaves out a lot of porn that is popular here on ADT. MindGeek owns a lot of companies and still run their tube sites. There seems to be all this outrage over LegalPorno but we don't see a long thread going after brazzers or realitykings. And Mindgeek owns a lot more tube sites than LP's parent company does (at least in terms of traffic). A lot of LP directors are their own studio, and LP is their distribution platform. so those directors have to make money on their own through the ticket revenues; they are not getting checks from LP to make porn without any concern for the revenues. I just think the LP outrage is not about tube money (because those same posters would be railing on Brazzers and Reality Kings). Its because these people think DAP is horrible and the girls are being ruined, or they are European, or some other bias. Edited by - A_Fan on 8/9/2017 2:10:30 PM

Never bought the 'it's porn so anything goes' argument. There have always been those in porn who ran their business in a way that respected those they worked with and those who didn't. And if you deal with a company with less than sterling business practices be ready for your info, including your cc info being possibily abused.
So Rob, the owner and creator of FTVgirls, said recently in his thread on these boards that presently they have about 10,000 monthly members. There are two present membership plans, $30 for a month or $100 for 5 months (i.e., $20 a month). Without knowing how many people partake in either plans, lets just give a higher end and lower end estimate. If all 10,000 people are paying $30 a month, then FTVgirls is making about $300,000 a month ($3.6 million a year). That's the higher end estimate. If all 10,000 people are paying about $20 a month, then that puts them at $200,000 a month ($2.4 million a year). That's the lower end estimate. Of course, neither of those estimates are even actually remotely accurate estimates because of a variety of factors, such as people not subscribing for the whole year, months where more people sign up than usual, etc.
The point of production companies who own tube sites is to devalue everyone else's content and to add value to yours. Basically, if you can find everyone else's content on a tube site, you won't pay for it, and then if you can't find their content on it, then you will. Mindgeek does the same thing with it's properties (you generally won't find a full Brazzers or Reality Kings movie on Pornhub unless the company specifically uploaded it themselves). And then, on top of it, you can use ads for your content on the tube sites to drive traffic to your other sites (again, using Pornhub as an example, I see Brazzers and RK ads there fairly often). This isn't to say that LP is definitely losing money, just that it's a well-known business strategy.
Overlit and "whiteout" due to white sofa, white walls, white skin, white everythings is a fair point. But this and bad/repetetive locations is a problem many gonzo porn sites suffer from. "Poorly shot" is where it gets subjective. For me their camera positions, camera work, wide/close shot ratio and editing style work for the most part. Sure it's not perfect, no other porn site i know does it perfekt, if there would be one, "perfect" would also become boring at some point i guess. Also agree that, 4k and huge file sizes is not everything, but i prefer this "more=better" approach over sites trying to minimize filesizes and ruining otherwise great scenes in the process because they don't get compression ratios right half the time. I also bought plenty 1080p and 720p scenes on LP, their 1080p files look as good as "4k" on some other sites, and even their 720p scenes mostly look no worse than "1080" on some other sites. The point is that they improved quality over the years while many other sites are stuck since years or try their luck with misleading specs.

^^"Overlit" is also subjective. Over implies the existence of an objective standard, when in reality no such objective standard exists. "Whiteout" may be objective, depending on the scene. It's merely describing an effect. What's subjective is the response of the individual viewer to the whiteout effect.
