In a former thread I had pointed out that probably one of the earliest videos shot was a Lahaie vehicle, released in 1979. Having troubles with the authorities the french pornographers had to find alternative forms of distribution and video came handy to be watched in smaller venues, out of reach of the law because the videos was shown in private clubs. In the USA the situation was different, so the need to shoot on video wasn't felt until many vhs players were sold to the general public. The earliest american video I can name is Physical 1, featuring Juliet Anderson, Herschel Savage and Mike Horner, released in 1981. Anybody to come up with something shot before? [Link] |
