The Fix "goes to bed" on Sunday evenings, and what I do is cull through posts and chat on the site from the immediate week previous. Right now, I'll be looking at stuff from Monday-Sunday. Hopefully, it's a fun way to highlight contributions and craziness of ADT chatterboxes, and spotlight industry stuff from some different perspectives. Mostly, I'm just working with what's already there. Glad to see the positive response, especially since this is just the intial public offering! [Link] |

Whilst you clearly intended it to be an opt-in communication for ADT afficionados, I think you made a bit of a blunder in the way you implemented it, as I don't actually recall opting-in myself. I see there is an option box in the edit profile screen, but couldn't say whether I ticked it, if it was ticked by default, or if it was even there when I first registered. It's no big deal to me - it could well be argued that by registering I consented to receiving such emails from you anyway. The problem is the length of time that has passed. Someone who signed up for an account years ago and then forgot about it until receiving this might well consider it spam. [Link] |

As you are only sending it out to people who have registered on the site, a relationship does exist. If you look at the SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT: labelling rule, you will see that it applies to spam. Ergo, labelling your emails in accordance to this rule is basically admitting that they're spam, so it's hardly suprising many ISPs will block them. Also note that if you follow that rule, you are also required to put a "valid physical postal address" to be "clear and conspicuous" in the message.
