1 UK pound will buy 1.7 dollar.....that means a 19 dollar dvd cost 11 quid! 2 dollar to the pound happend about 7 years back.....not withstanding that it is still good time to buy ftom the US

Bloody euros are shite, can't come to terms with any euro purchase now...

Guess why everyone from Europe wants to buy at the US shops - although it might be difficult with the customs ;-)

I won't say it's only the pound sterling which is so strong at the moment - first of all it's the dollar which is so weak ;-)

I mean, I live in Germany, we have the Euro - and the Euro started with... something like 0.96:1 (96cent for 1EUR), and it went worse at first. I had to pay like 1,16EUR for 1$ once, I think. But now, we have 1.19:1!! Jesus, almost 1.20$ for my 1 Euro. So, I'm sure I will buy as much as I can from the USA, as soon as I can *hehe*

For that matter, the Australian dollar has become much more useful again, up to .72US. (we were at .48 not all that long ago.. ) Hurrah!
