I know nothing about the porn world and their awards, but do they typically give major awards to women who only do other women? It's a respectable choice if you want to make it, but it does seem to take something away from the performers who do men, women, and push the limits. That Jayme girl is beautiful, but she only does women and I love Faye but she's not doing men anymore from what I can see either. Neither seems to put out a lot of quality work, but I don't get the nominee process at all. Some of them just to be nominated based on "star" power. Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it's called performer of the year, so it's not just a who's the hottest or biggest star award, it's given to the women who's perceived to have done the best work/performing of the last year, am I wrong about that? Scratchin' my head about some of the noms. Dana should be nominated at the very least. I'll go with Alexis Texas or Bobbi Starr. The rest just seems, in many cases, like giving noms and awards to Meryl Streep just because she's Meryl Streep. For best starlet, the noms are also confusing. Lexi Belle would be more deserving of performer of the year. How do they define new? I think I like Stoya the most, but don't know if she's really done that much. Definately torn between Missy Stone and Tori Black. Both equally hot, Tori seems to do more and have a higher profile, but Missy seems to be a better performer. So, by a hair, Missy. [Link] |

There is no right or wrong formula for determing a winner. If Jessica doesn't win, it won't be something the AVN people can quantify...other than in votes (which are probably rigged anyway). It's just a bunch of people's opinions. In other words, there really is no way to determine who the performer of the year EVER is. As they say, it should just be an honor just to be nominated. Something I would typically agree with, but since they didn't nominate Dana, I'm boycotting the awards and creating the CreamFilled awards. This year's winner of Performer of the Year? Dana DeArmond. She was so good that I didn't bother nominating anyone else. Just so you know, in case you plan ahead to my next award show...Dana will be winning again and probably will continue to win until the year 2067.
