Well, as a girl who worked with white and black guys, even back in the day when there wasn't this huge IR boom that there is today, I DIDN'T see a drop in my rates, I saw that studios looked at the fact that I was eager to work with Marcus and Sean Michaels in anal scenes and could pull off good BJ and anal scene with them and that was what the studio cared about.
It's been my experience that WITHIN the industry, that white people don't make a big deal about what color someone is.
It's the fans who dictate what will be seen and who will get paid what for it. So just chill, support the movies that you like, and you'll see them continue to get made.

While I wouldn't say I feel threatened by giant black tools, I avoid dvds featuring them because I don't have a big black weapon and cannot relate to one. It kills my fantasizing ability. I love Lacy. I I would like to know if black starlets get the same pay. Or have the same opportunities to work. I was just saying, BigFerret, that i believe underlying prejudice is fear. And there is a HUGE sexual piece to that equation. Big can o' worms...so to speak.

About this topic, I think racism or racial aspects are always important to discuss, but my experience, both on this forum and on RAME, has taught me that no sensible discussion on this topic has ever been conducted. On the contrary, before we know it, some of us are calling each other names, this thread gets locked and at worst, some people get banned. So be my guest and discuss all you want. In the meantime, I will eagerly await the arrival of a new Kiwi flick in my part of the world.
My observation is that actresses in SoCal make the rounds of the studios. So they shoot some scenes for, for example, Vince Vouyer and RLD. They do some NS/DS lines such as Naughty College Schoolgirls. And many shoot a scene or three for TT Boy and West Coast, which involve working with black guys. And after these girls do some IR scenes, they do some scenes for other companies, and it doesn't affect them at all. Think, for example, of Monica Sweetheart, who did several scenes with Lexington Steele a couple of years ago, and obviously suffered greatly from it. I guess I'm saying I see no validity to the point raised in this thread.

I also don't think you necessarily need a signed affidavit or a public admission of guilt by a practitioner of racism to reasonably deduce that an instance of racial discrimination might have occurred (or might be occurring). However, when you couch a question in the terms that you did, it begs the question of, "Do you have any proof--or at least ample anecdotal evidence that strongly hints at proof--to back up what you claim was at least once true?"

lau- no offense taken. You need to remember that MLyons is my personal bodyguard in real life, so he's been trained by me to be REALLY protective of me.
While I have experienced seeing racism in the world and I do know that there are girls in the adult business who on their own (maybe with pressure from a boyfriend or an agent) choose to not work with non-white guys, I don't think it is the majority at all. However, I've always found it ironic that some minorities (and I'm including women in this) seem to perpetuate the differences between by constantly pointing them out.
Finally, by possibly having to reach back to the 1980s to try to find examples of when a girl might have seen her rates drop because she worked with a black guy seems like that would be proof that if there are ANY examples of this currently, it can't be very widespread. And I think if you try hard enough to find an example of ANYTHING, someone somewhere would be able to find it.

I never ever heard that! And I really can not imagine an agent telling me: "You have to pay her less today because since last time she worked with a black guy."
I know, that some girls don't work with black guys and I found it kind of funny that I met a black girl who don't like to work with black guys. But I also know that many girls LOVE Lex or Sean or Franco Roccaforte.
I totally agree with Tricia, that within the industry the color is less an issue as it is for the fans.

I personally think that this is one rumor that start years ago and people think that it is true because people like Jenna Jameson,Tera Patrick, Jill Kelly, and Serenity never did black men. History in porn shows that it doesn't matter who you have sex with if you are good at it then they will come to watch no matter what. If you name the top 20 female performers in the business now at least 17 of them have performed with black men.If you check out the top 100 performers of all time more than 85 of them have performed with black men and woman. So it hurts no one but the people who are ignorant.
