I think it's a comment on our society that Traci Lords feels compelled to rewrite or shade her history in order to be accepted by the public. Linda Lovelace did the same thing. I don't know how many people on this board are old enough to have seen Traci's work before she was discovered but there are many performers (Gauge, Jenna Haze, Aurora Snow, Molly Rome and Katie Gold just to name a few) who truly look like jail bait, or did when they first hit the scene. Traci never looked that young. She could have played an older sister or aunt. She also gave fully engaged performances, which along with her beauty, is what made her so popular. Maybe this book will make her more comfortable with her past and she can get on with her life.
