OK... I have a number of Mpgs and tons of good pics off the net. Is there a way I can burn these to a DVD/CD that would play in my CD player? I own a 19"montior, and a 64" TV, so thats my main motivation. They are in seperate parts of the house too. I am sure that the net stuff would not be as crisp as my DVDs and such, but for a few girls I REALLY like who dont really have any DVDs out, I guess its the best I have got? I have a G4 mac and a PC.

Even if it was just the pics, it would be cool to have it available on a slideshow kind of disk. I am almost certain this is doable.

Nearly every DVD Player can do that, burn the photos into folders and start a slideshow.

As long as you have HD capable TV the resoltion should be good.

Wow, yall just turned my world upside down, twice... so its all good, Im back rightside up... THANK YOU!

Man... with that sling box it might even be worth it to switch directions and have ALL my movies onto a HD so I can just click and play them like I do with Itunes on my mac, WOW!!! Options!

Saw the slingbox demo'd at CES -- apart from the semi-cheesy revival meeting hysteria of the presenter (all that was missing was "Can I get an AMEN!!")-- the demo looked pretty impressive.

I dunno that I need to watch TV *that* badly, but it seemed to fill the niche pretty well.

the cheap option is buying one of the dvd-players that can decode mpegs and avi's. burn your movies onto a dvd and it'll play back 90% of them flawlessly, nothing to set up, you could probably have all of your clips from the computer to a dvd playing on your tv in ten minutes of burning a few discs. i bought a phillips dvp-642 over a year ago so i'm not on top of the latest and greatest one, the phillips works and they're maybe a little over 50 bucks.
