| rt Member 42 Posts 12/01 |  Posted - Oct 17 2003 : 5:57PMI cannot get my old computer to transfer files to my new computer. My old computer runs Windows 98, the new one XP. I have tried PC transfer, Intellamover and a zip drive and a buslink harddrive. The old computer will not transfer with any of these systems. My old computer only has a floppy drive but it would take a long time transferring them this way. Plus, my new computer does not have a floppy drive so I would have to add a drive just for these files. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to get my old computer to give it up? By the way, I was using a usb port to try and export files on the old machine.  [Link] |
| Saki At-Large 2087 Posts 11/99 | Posted - Oct 17 2003 : 6:08PM You don't say how many files you're talking about, but if you have internet access to both PC's, you might be able to move them to some online storage and then back again. If it's more than that, then your best bets are either to connect them with networking cards or temporarily move the internal hard disk from the old to the new computer.  [Link] |
