Tricia,
A few months ago you told us that work on the DVD for this title had begun prior to the problem that caused it to be discontinued, and that once the problem was resolved, work would be continued.

It appears that this title is once again available on DVD. PLEASE tell me that you have good news regarding a future (immediate future????) DVD release.

Isn't this the brutal fuck flick that Rocco went haywire on the porn chicks? That is what made it too explicit for the US market right? It's only right now on VHS.

So Evil Angel is actually gonna make a DVD out of it?

You must be thinking about one of his other tapes. From what I have read, this title was pulled because of some legal difficulties with the hotel in which the movie was shot.

Stagliano again and hotels. heh heh :D..it seems every hotel wants to throw him out. Sheeze I wonder WHAT he could be doing in a hotel that immediately they want to throw him out?

Rocco Meats an American Angel in Paris was shot in a hotel in Paris that simply wasn't too happy about seeing themselves in a porn movie. With a fee paid to them, they were slightly happier.
The VHS is indeed now being sold again.

By the way, Evil Angel has NEVER shot at the Venetian!

Since we had to rearrange DVD production to assume that we might not be able to continue working on this DVD, it does still have a future release, but not this year. (Probably VERY early 2002.)
Instead, you'll be getting Initiations 1, Animal Trainer 2 and 3, and most likely Sandy Insatiable, one of Rocco's classics.

Tricia - Please forgive my post above. After reading it again it looks like I may have been assuming the Venetian shoot was for an Evil Angel title.

I remember a while back reading something on one of the porn gossip sites about a movie being shot at the Venetian, presumably without the approval of the hotel management. I don't remember who was involved (maybe Max Hardcore?) but it turned out to be a pretty big problem from what I remember reading.

I bought it from here about 3 months ago but i havent checked to see weather it is still here.

Tricia, this is clearly music to my ears. I've been wondering and worrying about the DVD future of this film since the hotel problem. It was by far my favorite non Tina film of last year. I've corresponded with Savanna a couple times when it first came out and she mentioned not being sure of wanting to be a porn star but was looking forward to another film with Rocco. Has this or will this happen? You need to get John to sign her to an exclusive contract. She would be a huge star as so many online rave about her performance. If not, I put her as the greatest one film wonder ever. About the DVD. The boxcover for the film shows Savanna in a DP which wasn't in the film. She mentioned not knowing why as that was her "orgasm" scene. Please tell me this scene will indeed make the DVD as well as any other possible bonus Savanna scenes.

It's my understanding that Savannah had a change of heart about doing any more movies. It seems like it had something to do with her personal life.

I will ask Rocco about the DP before we make the transfer to DVD.
