Click to expand I don't disagree with you on this point, but it's because of the porn stigma that shouldn't exist. I think if she was great on the mike, really and truly great she could get over. You don't need to be a great wrestler and honestly there are plenty of good wrestlers who could benefit from a quality mouthpeice. Shelton Benjamin comes to mind. Being twice as good as the current roster sans Mickie, Milena and Beth. . .I've got a mop in the closet. (Sorry and Jillian) 4) She must be able to do the types of high flying maneuvers that wrestlers such as the following are able to do with ease. RVD is kinda over-rated as far as his arials go. If she could believably 619 and full speed hurricarana she'd be ok. My gut instict though would be to turn her into something WWE has never seen. A female technical wrestler. That said, any woman with a solid arial game would get over on the that alone. 5) She must be willing to be a bleeder, participate in hardcore matches, and regularly perform the suicidal type of spots that Jeff Hardy and Sabu have done over the years. alexl467 Click to expand Vince won't allow THQ (Game Publisher) to let Yukes (Game designer/programer) to let women be used in non standard matches. There is no way that he's going to have a woman bleed intentionally on TV or take a suicide bump. It's simply not happening and a willingness to do that would probably harm her more than it helps. I haven't seen a single minute of wrestling on TV since "Ravishing" Rick Rude tried to kiss Jake "The Snake" Roberts' wife and Jake kicked his ass. That was awesome. But I was also about 9 years old. Oh and I met Ted "The Million Dollar Man" DiBiase and Virgil in the Philadelphia airport around the same time and got their autographs. I was with two other kids who were flying without their parents (I was being shipped off as per usual to stay with my grandparents in Brooklyn for the summer - yeah NYC in the summer, thanks a lot Mom & Dad) and one of the kids said "My Dad says wrestling isn't real", to which Ted responded "Your Dad isn't a wrestler, is he?" with the meanest fucking look on his face you've ever seen. In unison, the three of us said "No Mr. DiBiase", while shaking in our Roos. I'm sure he loved doing shit like that. [Link]

That was my storybook ending and I knew that for me personally, it would never get any better. If WWE programming were a finite series, this was my finale. Two of my favorites and arguably the best grapplers in the world, after years of being held back and shitted on, were finally on top, in the most visible company, on the world's biggest stage in wrestling's biggest event. How do you top that? Quick answer? You can't. So I signed off and tuned out. Now Eddy Guerrero's gone (his past drug abuses and previous hard living finally caught up to him unexpectedly) and Chris Benoit murdered the very family he celebrated in the ring with before taking his own life, hanging himself in his weight room. For example: Kevin Sullivan recruited Mike Rotunda, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Rick Steiner and together they all comprised the stable known as The Varsity Club. over = popular with fans. This doesn't apply solely to faces; heels can be over, too. In fact, heels can be over as heels because they're so good at being bad or the fans can get behind a heel until he becomes so over that they eventually turn him 'face (think: Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Eddy Guerrero). When a bad guy becomes good it's known as a Face Turn, when a good guy goes bad, it's a Heel Turn. Most turns are foreshadowed but some of the best have been totally unexpected (at least, if that unexpected turn makes sense). mouthpiece = most times a manager or valet that does the talking for a wrestler that's not good on the mic and doesn't give very good promos (interviews). Think of the old days when nearly every WWF character had a manager: "The Doctor of Style" Slick, "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, Capt. Lou Albano, etc. You could say that Tricia Devereaux is the mouthpiece for Evil Angel here at ADT if you wanted to use the pro wrestling term. bump = basically any move that ends with two wrestlers making contact with either each other or the mat, really. By "suicide" bump, Sean means crazy highspots (more dangerous moves) like off the top of the cage moonsaults, suicide dives to the outside of the ring or WWE's most frequently used spot, anything off the top ring rope down onto the ringside announcer's table. I just realized that I said "spot", which is basically any pre-planned event in the ring (which is everything really but people tend to break down matches into different "spots" like "Did you see that sunset flip-into-a-sitout-powerbomb spot Wrestler X did last night?!"). I was only attempting to explain the words he actually used, not provide a full and comprehensive dictionary...man, you and I both know that'd put me here all day. Anyhow, concerning not watching anymore and this might end up being the truest shit I've ever said about myself personally since I've been a member here but here it is: For the most part, I often find that the closer I get to something, the less I like it. If I can keep things at a fun and superficial surface level, I'm able to enjoy it just fine. But once things get any deeper, I begin to see the innerworkings and the flaws and it becomes a huge turnoff that I can't come back from. At that point, I'm done. This happened with wrestling a bit before that 'Mania with Benoit and Guerrero but that seemed like as good a stopping point as any. The fact that they're both gone now just makes it that much easier to stay away. [Link]

Trina has noted that she is hoping to be one of the best female managers in wrestling and has recently moved to Florida, fueling rumors that she is looking to sign with WWE to train at Florida Championship Wrestling. Security at the SmackDown tapings said she was talking to a number of WWE writers and employees. She noted on her blog that she even caught a glimpse from Vince McMahon. Trina also noted in her blog that she was planning on attending the TNA live event in California this past Sunday. Now, since that's not likely I sadly once again must point out that Trina has a big strike against her because of the porn when it comes to WWE and just because she was backstage at a show doesn't mean a contract or even a tryout is likely. If Trina has skills at this then TNA is a likelier destination since Vince Russo loves a good, controversial storyline and they seem to be moving in a more edgy direction to compete with WWE's kid friendly blandness. I doubt they would sign her anyway. 10 years ago, the answer would be yes, but just not now. They are targeting the kid demographic now more than they have since 1997. I'm enjoying Trina's work with WEW. She's getting better and still looks just as hot. InYourHead wrestling conducted an interview with Trina in December. That should lead to some rumors about Michaels joining TNA Wrestling." So take it for what it is worth. candice Michelle was released from WWE and Victoria just debuted recently on TNA, so if Trina does make the TNA roster as a TNA Knockout, I can't see why not, I see Candice going too? A past Playboy Centerfold and a past Porn Star would be a good feud. Besides WWE is going more PG so that can leave TNA to go more like how WWE was in the 90's. alexl467 Member Bklyn, NY 873 Posts 4/03	Posted - Jun 20 2009 : 10:07AM 1) Since Mick Foley has mentioned her name on this past Impact episode and in 2 other places I was wondering do you all really think Trina stands a greater than good chance of being signed to TNA in the near future, or like how Matt Striker used to do with Missy Hyatt during his now canceled WWE web show and early on in his ECW commentating career she'll just end up being someone that TNA talent will constantly refer to but never (at least not anytime soon) receive a contract? 2) I think if she going to stand a chance of being signed to either TNA or the WWE Trina (if she hasn’t already) needs to start her wrestling training, whether at OVW or some other wrestling school. Maybe since she is currently doing indy gigs in the LA area Trina could start training at the same wrestling school that taught Melina, John Morrison, and recently Lena Yada how to perform in the ring. Unless they are some sort of mainstream media star (ala Jenna Morasca) or from the WWE (ala Sharmell) since TNA doesn’t currently have a training facility I don’t believe they’re going to sign anymore non-wrestling females. And the WWE (even though they do have a training facility) I don’t think they’re presently willing to risk signing a non-wrestling female with a hardcore porn past to a contract, not even a development one. If and when she starts her training Trina in my opinion can not settle for simply being a capable in-ring performer. To get either promotion to overlook her porn past she’ll have to be greater than any great female and/or male wrestlers that came be for her, both in the ring and on mic. She’ll have to end up being someone who the heads of both companies can not see living without her being signed to their organizations. alexl467 [Link]
