It was obviously meant to be ambiguous! All they needed to do was put the two words 'to Tushy' after 'newcomer'. Personally, I'm happier with a scene from a great performer like Gabi than a random newbie so for me turned out to be a nice surprise!!

You are right about everything. Every person needs to read what you said twice.
It pays to remember that Vixen launched with a strikingly beautiful anal scene with Ariana Marie. Not only Tushy needs to level up its glam game but Vixen needs to have anal every once in a while. I see they understand this and Blackedraw and Deeper now have some anals but please do not forget vixen!
And I'm gonna quote the lighting part for more emphasis since I have been saying the same for quite some time :
I think it comes down to the further we are from Lansky's initial run the further we get from what made these sites what they were. Lighting has been an issue. Said it in the deeper thread but I think the sites are moving towards that end of the spectrum than the brightness we got when blacked,vixen and tushy started.

Without any hyperbole, some of Lansky's work belongs in a museum. I have not seen anything like this look recreated even in mainstream entertainment.
LOL! As someone who's followed Tushy etc from the beginning, the lighting has ALWAYS been something that people have complained about, very much including the Lansky period. This ain't a new criticism!
Lansky's photographic talent & Malena Morgan, among others,made for some great content back in his Reality Kings days.

What gets me with the lighting is that it is clearly wrong. It isn't some artistic example of colour grading, it is just wrong. By way of example, if you look at a site like 21 Naturals (the 21 Sextury more artsy stuff) you can see they often shift the colour balance to the blues BUT you will note the colour grading on the videos and on photosets match in this regard. With Tushy scenes the video and photos are often a million miles apart. Sure, you cannot expect video to be quite as vibrant as the stills photography but some scenes are grossly underexposed or have grotesque colour casts. Maybe the worst example is the Kenzie Reeves and Vina Sly scene "Commission". Look at the thumbnail image, it looks AMAZING..... then watch the video and it looks like someone used a blue felt tip on the camera lens prior to filming (clearly zero correction went on to account for the very blue set prior to filming and no-one could be bothered to do anything afterwards). More recently, they have filmed some amazing outdoor scenes in exotic locations but the lighting is all over the place, great occasionally but sometimes abysmal. In one comment response Julia Grandi corrected someone that actually overcast conditions are good for filming (versus bright direct sunlight). This is true but the scene in question was so dull and underexposed (both dark and flat) that she may as well have shot it at a British seaside resort on an a wet Wednesday afternoon in November. I'd also add that if you through Alberto Blancos scenes on these sets it sums up my other point: Vixen scenes frequently stay outdoors with Alberto and two or three girls but Tushy scenes are Alberto and one girl and head inside three minutes in. These amazing locations should all look amazing. The lighting should be amazing and Tushy should get its share of more glamorous and amazing setups and not be short-changed. Fibally, I feel like they must have have no internal process of viewing these scenes and marking what works lighting wise and what has happened when it doesn't. I will still subscribe to Tushy but as it stands it is a one or two month a year job. There is no incentive to hold an annual subscription when more than half the scenes look nothing like the beautiful photosets and require me, the consumer, to sit on adobe premiere to try and put right.

PS: they ought to get Markus Dupree to give them tips on lighting. His website Vogov (which seems to be not updating nowadays) may have been limited in style but he seemed to nail the indoor lighting in almost every single scene he shot. How can he, as a performer, find it so easy and yet these producers who make this their trade cannot seem to grasp these bread and butter basics?
^^^ I got the feeling all along that the obsession was with being 'different' and artsy to the point where one or two people forgot what the whole point was!

Julia Grandi is my fav director but I also love the work of Alex Eikster, KGB and Ilya Droombeeld. KGB and Alex have most of their work on other sites. I hope to see them more often on vixen/tushy. I feel like Droombeeld is done :(
