Now this is more like it.
I didn't have a lot of good things to say about "Twindom", but I liked Lacey and Lyndsey Love enough to try "Twins Do Vegas". I can't quite put my finger on who they remind me of -- maybe Shane, but a shade less wholesome? They're not quite identical though. While they have matching tattoos just below the navel, only one of them flipped over to add a tramp stamp. It took some careful attention, but I have determined that it's Lacey. So now you can tell them apart.
Anyway, this movie purports to document the twins' first trip to Las Vegas, for the Adult Entertainment Expo. It combines what amounts to BTS Expo footage with the staged sex scenes.
Pros: I don't know who writer/director Hank Hoffman is (I think he's new), but he has a much better idea than Paul Thomas of what to do with twins. Use them together! Duh. The twins have three scenes, each of them a b/g/g with good teamwork.
The setups are serviceable to good. The movie opens with real footage from their arrival at the airport. They excuse themselves to a restroom, and we cut to a sordid little bathroom scene with Steven St. Croix as a lucky janitor. The scene is not 100 percent successful in getting both of them to act interested 100 percent of the time, but there are some good moments, particularly in the dual doggie when St. Croix is able to take charge more. And there's not just commonplace P2OGM, but a good amount of the rare P2TSM.
Their second scene starts by following the girls on their first day at the show. At the end of the day, they pluck "fan" James Deen out of the crowd and take him back to their suite. This could have been an all-time ADTer dream scene, but the setup is rather perfunctory, and words are not really the twins' best friends. But the scene is decent.
The finale is supposed to be a post-awards-show party, at which the twins team up on Marco in the middle of the club amidst dancing and mingling by extras. Good for the public-sex aficionado.
*Cameo appearances galore, from the other Vivid girls to Kelly Wells to gia jordan to Kylie Ireland.
*They're twins. Cool.
Cons: As performers, Lacey and Lyndsey can be listless at times. Let's say their energy is inconsistent.
*The two scenes that don't involve the twins didn't hold my interest. The girls recruit Cody Milo and Faith off the convention floor for a g/g that, frankly, I didn't really watch. Charlotte Stokely has a similarly superfluous scene, and I FF'd that mainly because I thought she kind of looked like hell, with trashy makeup and wardrobe that wasn't flattering IMO.
Bottom line: It's all about the gimmick of the twins, but that's pretty much the all-time best porn gimmick, isn't it? This was much better than "Twindom", both in the way that the movie uses the twins and because I just like the smattering of AEE content.
Condom note: Two of the twins' scenes are non-condom, but there is a condom in the scene with Deen.
Bonus note: The bonus scenes on recent Vivid movies I've seen have been more random than in the past. You used to get two scenes featuring the girl on the box cover, then three random ones. On the last four or five discs I've seen, it's just been five random old scenes. Not a change for the better.
Coming next: For some reason I decided to watch these all at once -- "Two Hot" and "True Hollywood Twins" are in the mail.
