Hi, first post. Can anyone recomend a good and fast adult dvd etailer. I have been told dvd extreme are very good. The laws have now been changed in the UK which makes buying dvds abit more straight forword but the customs still don`t like you importing porn! But fuck customs who are they to tell me what too watch, I`am over 21 so I`ll do what i want!
The best site to use IMHO is www.adultdvdnow.com for a few reasons;
I am in Edinburgh and have ordered at least 100 titles from them - NEVER any problems (order no more than 6/7 at a time)
For every 5 bought - get 1 free!
They will price match and THEN take a further $1 off each title!
So in summary use this forum to find the best price and order from above and they will drop through your door in about 5 days (with the original covers - no boxes - get them for 99p at HMV)
The easiest wat I found to do it, is to search through AdultDVDTalk using the Price Search feature to find the cheapest prices for the titles you want. It's probably easier to have a second browser window open on AdultDVDNow tocheck what titles of the ones you want are listed with them.
Make a note of which other retailer has the cheapest price, also probably the current price on Now's site (for reference of how much you will save, etc.).
Make your order at AdultDVDNow (probably no more than 5 or 6 discs) and at the final Checkout stage add in the details of where and how much you found the titles cheaper, etc.
An example of how I write it is :-
Low Price Guarantee - informing them of the obvious, but it helps to spell it out (Title X - $XX.XX at FiveStarDVD) (Title Y - $XX.XX at DVDAdvantage), etc.
It works for me!
Using this, I have reduced the csts of some of my orders from >$120.00 to under $70.00 Damn those $8.99, $9.99 and $11.49 sales from some of the online retailers, especially Five Star DVD. My credit card can only take so much!!!
All my previous orders came through, pretty quickly. Although the freebies usually take me more time to sort through, in order to find out the details about these titles, so I know what I am getting. But heh!, a free disc is ALWAYS ACCEPTABLE.
As far as the price match goes, everyone is right. Cykedout is doing fine. Steph's suggestion in extremely helpful, thanks Steph . With the actual product links it really does help us verify prices faster. The quicker we can do this, the quicker we can get the order shipped.

I live in England too...
I appreciate AdultDVDNow seem to be the best choice when ordering several DVDs, but what about ordering single DVDs?
Have found two North American sources offering free shipping to the UK but haven't tried them yet. Of course their prices are higher but the free shippind does seem to compensate that. These two stores are Adult DVD Box Office and DVD Skin.
There might be alternatives in Europe too, I ordered three of the latest Private DVDs from a Spanish firm, adultaxia.com, prices were around 15 pounds per DVD including postage.
There are other sites in France and the Netherlands too, a good French site is cdiscount.com (click on "DVD" then "adulte") unfortunately if you can't read French the site is all in French...
I ordered DVD FROM ADULT dvd now on tuesday and got it today, thats brilliant service, the best i have had from any one esle even in the UK! I will always shop from the from now on. (also you can track your order online which is good thing too)

Pity you can't claim shipping back from one of portal sites like BFL or such for Adult DVD Now.
Incidentally, since they seem to have changed over to UPS for their shipping from USPS, and I can now track my shipment, my current one seems to be going walkabout. It was in the UK a few hours back and now seems to be in Cologne, Germany. At least UK customs didn't open it.
I am happy to hear that our European customers are getting their orders. We at adultdvdnow.com go to great lenghts to assure delivery. The shipping costs may not be the cheapest, but they are the most reliable, and orders can be tracked, unlike USPS.
Regarding other sites, if they are not on Adult DVD Talk, their reputation is questionable. Remember, Adult DVD Talk scrutinizes online stores that are out there selling DVDs, and they only pick the best of the best. The reason...... they want to provide their audience with fast, efficient, reliable and friendly service.

Important issue indeed. Because VAT is carried only on bigger shipments, I´ve only ordered shipments with one or two discs only. While I don´t know any other merchants with free shipping than these two, there are still few shops whith reasonable S&H -LasersEdge.com, not aggressive but still good pricing, their selection is average but seem to have more thai-titles than other shops. Shipping is $4 for one and $6 for two. This is what I´ve been using for few months and I´m happy with them. -Dv-depot, kinda expensive, poor selection. Shipping is $4 for first three discs. -Excalibur films, exellent selection. Shipping is $4 for a disc.
Dvd boxoffice seems to get more and more poor reviews every month in the usenet. In july they chose not to e-mail me when somebody had used the number of my credit card. I then asked them to cancel my account and haven´t placed an order since. They are also very slow and haven´t got a real-time status of stocked items. DVD skin I haven´t even heard before, neither has google or dejanews anything informative on them.

Big thanks for these links. Shopping in euros makes a lot of sense at the moment. How did you hear about these two merchants? Dejanews doesn´t seem to have posts of either Adultaxia or Cdiscount, in english at least. Did you or anybody you know of ever tried to contact these two in english? Those $18 Private titles at Adultaxia sure are intresting.
I know it's a stupid question, but how do you go about ordering from a company (adultaxia) in Spanish, if you don't speak the language? I went over to the store, but I can't understand the site!

altavista usually has a translate link beside search results. i'm sure there are other translator programs/sites out there - that's just the one I use.
Just an update on my lost order since 9/10 from DVDBoxoffice. I had to wait 8 weeks before informing them of a loss and had just received a response that they are unable to re-ship my order. It will be the last time I will be using them and will stick to AdultDVDNow for all future orders. Even better now with order tracking. Last order took only 3 days from order to delivery.
nruddock: I don´t think webstores are that much different from each other. Browsing in a foreign language at least shouldn`t be a problem. DVDs are found behind the "dvd" and the "peliculas x"("-> Serenna DVD") links. an item is added to shopping cart by pressing the "x" under a picture.
For translating texts I use www.dictionary.com/translate/ and one with more exotic languages www.tranexp.com:2000/
On Adultaxia I´d like to add that shipping is by weight and Euro/American rates start at roughly $1.50. Even if prices are tempting it however doesn´t use any securing method for transactions nor is any contacting info except e-mail addresses found. But it sure is nice that they offer DVDs as pequena, mediana and grande.
Because of all the good praise that adultdvdnow has been getting in this forum I decided to place my first ever order through them on the 14/10 and I have just received it today. I was a little bit concerned at first when they told me that the order was being shipped by USPS rather than UPS, mainly because of the lack of tracking, but a little research in this forum put my mind at ease.
I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone else, especially in the UK, as their overall service has been excellent and I will definitely be ordering from them again.
Stay away from CDiscount. I ordered from them and they added FF179 (£17) to my order for shipping 2 DVDs to UK. I have contacted them 3 times since with no reply
To jump in this topic: I looked at the Adultaxia site, but wasn't really impressed by their webdesign or selection. However, one must like such titles as "Mujeres Al Borde De Un Ataque Lésbico" (not on DVD though).
I wonder why they don't appear to have any European DVD's. Besides Private there's only the Serenna label, which features VCA titles.

Probably this and many other merchants as well just think that most customers want their products to be localized. Or perhaps inbuyers are just afraid of working with sellers who doesn´t speak spanish.

Actually there are plenty of on-line shops in European countries, for example here is a link to Swedish yahoo. The lack of reliable pan-european online-shops with reasonable prices and a catalogue in English is the real problem. And that doesn´t apply just on porn but CD´s, DVD´s and especially on electroncis. It´s a continous amaze to me that, after like ten years of commercial internet and the tax-advantage given to European shops, I´m still better off buying my stuff overseas.

The US Video site is decent-looking enough, although I couldn't find any information on postage charges of credit card orders. I think they say somewhere that the C.O.D. charge is 80 SEK, but I couldn't find even that page again: maybe you have to select something and go to the order page to see that information.
The Happy Shopper site is not as clean-looking. They do, however, have some German DVDs. Being easily amused, I got a kick of some of the titles: "Pralle Ärsche in Strumpfhosen" (something like "Tight asses in pantyhose"). also I think one was called "Gnadenlose Sauereien" ("Merciless Swineries") and described as "Germans making an incredible mess of it". Cool.
Neither site has great pricing, but then again this is to be expected.
IMO a good webstore should have such features as real time information on stock, secure transactions, an order status tracking option, and clear information on shipping charges. (Also a plus would be if they didn't condescend to the customer and kept the hype to a minimum .)
I think also dvdzone2 had some adult titles but haven't ordered any from them.

I think you have the answer now from another post.
A few things about Adultaxia :
1- They write in perfect English if you bother to E-mail them. Very prompt response too.
2- They don't have a secure server, I was wary to put my credit card number online so I sent them my order by fax instead (had asked for their fax number by E-Mail).
3- Got my package (3 Tanya Hyde's Private DVDs) reasonably fast for an international order.
4. No bad surprises when I got my credit card bill.

I go around this by having the order shipped to a friend in France (free shipping to French adresses), my friends then ships the DVDs to me. Postal rates (economy) from France to UK generally around 3 to 4 pounds, Cdiscount probably charged you a much higher rate for registered mail.
Cdiscount has currently some adult DVDs at 60FF less than £ 6!!!
Another site worth checking for the better shipping rates within Europe is DVD Zone 2 (http://www.dvdzone2.com)
