I'm also much too aware that test results that are more than a few days old are not useful in any meaningful way. But that's just me. For plenty of people this could be a useful way to demonstrate that they are genuine in their statement that they were disease free the last time they checked, and that they are willing to be tested and to share their test results. Also, how partners handle their health/STD risk tells you a lot and informative. I would just be worried about a database with names and infections. Sounds to big brother to me. [Link]

Click to expand i also agree with this but for the moments when you might engage in casual sex or sex with a partner you've recently developed a relationship with, i'd be a bit more hesitant to get tested in real time with someone. that means another person will likely find out you have an infection at the same time you do. i'd prefer to know before hand to save myself the embarrassment. As far as it sounding too "big brother"...i dunno. Sometimes having a "big brother" can be beneficial to you and this is one case where i think it might be important. I know of a few sites that don't have a "big brother" and people like about their hiv statuses like crazy! I'd really have a bigbrother figure behind my back notifying me of people who are not honest about their status or just dont know it [Link]
