I do not have a DVD burner @ work but would like to store some video and take it home to my PC. Can I download video on a flash USB driver (like I use for my digital camera) @ work then take it home to my hard drive? Other then file size, is there a limitation to the type of format. Will it handle DVD quality?
OK, I am a stooge . How many CD's have I wasted, DVD's burned w/ 1/4 use of the data on it. All this time I could have had a flash drive. Please nominate me for the "biggest stooge" of the year. It works great. Thanks warren
^ What Harri said! If you take porn to and from work, keep it on your flash-drive only! If you download it AT work, download it directly to your flash-drive! Never -- ever -- store porn on a work computer. Don't even put files on the hard-drive temporarily. Also, be sure to clear your Internet browser "history" on a regular basis. If you don't already have it, CCleaner is a program that you should have and use. (It would help give me some piece of mind, clearing incriminating tracks and evidence of Internet porn activities, if I were playing with porn at work). FYI, your video files will probably play faster off of the flash-drive, than they would if on the hard-drive, anyway.
Forget about where you store it, just don't use your damn work PC for porn of any kind at any time. C'mon, since when is whacking off preferred to a paycheck?
On the subject of stealthy web-browsing, I recommend using Portable Apps. All web browsing history etc. are safely contained on your flash drive; no telltale evidence to clean from you computer. Of course the IT dept can still track your web browsing history, but that's a different issue. On a practical side, if your employer wants to get rid of you, they don't need a reason. You can be a porndog or you can be squeaky clean; it doesn't matter. Unless you work in a public sector job; then it's a little harder to get canned.

The thing is, if you're found to be using the company's computer system for porn, they're probably going to feel that they have to get rid of you, even if they otherwise think you're doing a hell of a job.
Thanks guys, and points are well taken. No Wacking off @ work here. Just a few long downloads that take too long for my limited time @ home. Since I can get it right on the flash drive is the only reason I tried it. I do have CCleaner but will check out Portable Apps. Thanks
^ Actually, if you can't afford to lose your job, you might not want to risk it at all. There are usually more ways to get caught than there are ways to avoid it and if you do it enough times, you'll find one of them without realizing it. Edited by - randomprecision on 12/18/2009 2:26:07 AM
In today's working world, where you can be fired literally for wearing the wrong color shirt, it just pays to keep your head down and your nose clean. Most IT departments don't even bother with individual client monitoring anymore....they go straight for firewall blocking and sniffing. In my own shop, we simply block everything but a handful of sites and tell our workers to surf porn at home. Even I don't use our work network for this board during the day...I'm on my own broadband card most of the time. Work is for working. Home is for fapping.
amcorders currently offer memory varying from 8GB, which gives you about 2 to 5 hours of standard footage, to 32GB, which can hold about 8 to 20 hours of standard footage. The advantage of flash memory is that it doesn't have any moving parts, so it's considered more durable than hard drive memory. Flash memory camcorders generally record and access media faster than hard drive camcorders. And given the tiny size of flash memory, flash memory camcorders can be smaller and lighter too.
