I recently rented Wicked's Park Avenue from a shop in Canada. It appears that the Wicked line is repackaged by an outfit called Valentine Video in Quebec.

Their "re-packaging" included butchering the chapter page - about 1/2 appeared to be missing compared to the stops on the DVD and the chapter page was amateurishly arranged. And, they saw fit to delete all the extras. (At least compared to what the reviews here would indicate should be on the disk.)

Has anyone rented or purchased a similar re-packaged DVD from these guys? Do they always butcher the contents like this? Do you think Wicked knows/cares about something like this?

Valentine Video re-packs, and most often will repress the disc for sale in Canada. They always go the cheap route. "The Game" is a great extra laden double disc from Wicked, that Valentine manages to butcher as well. They also carry most of Jules Jordan's Evil Empire DVDs, for whatever reason they leave out the extras on these discs as well. I think the only way Valentine Video will clean up their act is if the Studios like Evil Angel & Wicked, clearly state that that will not continue to receive distribution rights unless the bring their standards up to par. I would love to hear EA's & Wicked's thoughts on this.

I bought some John Leslie VHS movies on e-bay, and they proved to be the Valentine Canadian editions. They seem to be lightly edited from the normal USA edition, and the cassette isn't as good quality as the red ones Evil Angel uses. The tapes aren't bad, but also aren't good enough quality to expect much out of Valentine DVDs, so the news of poor DVDs comes as no surprise.

I have never seen one good transfer of a dvd by any Canadian company except for Killer Pussy #6 which Kaytel put out. The picture quality was good but the menu was total garbage, as uual with Candian dvd productions. I've never bought an edited dvd and never will. I'll take my chances with customs if I can't find the US versions here in Canada.
