I couldn't decipher which language was which. The machine however was on sale and I was tempted to buy it just because Im a gadget aficionado and it was a MLK day sale. But one thing occurred to me. If a machine(VCR or DVD) is in Asian lettering does it automatically mean that it's in the PAL circuitry system and not American NTSC? Rendering it useless for American produced tv shows, videos' etc.? [Link] |

AFAIK, Japan is only 100V, whereas China and Korea are 220V. I don't know if VCR power supplies these days are often as tolerant as many computer parts. If not, that could have been a problem.
