That is an interesting exchange because it shows the pressures on performers to work even if they are sick and for performers to work with a partner who is sick. I remember a few weeks ago, Christian mentioned doing a threesome with two performers. Christian mentioned that one of the females also looked sick. Christian was with LA Direct for a while before leaving them. He recently joined the agency again. I don't think Christian has ever said why he initially left LA Direct. I suspect, however, that it is just because he felt established in the industry and therefore did not want to pay them a cut of his pay. This is one facet of the industry that I wish I did not know about.
honest to god, i feel so much more safe working with male performers (who don't do gay scenes) than female performers in this industry. most 18-20 year olds don't even know what a bacterial infection IS, much less gonorrhea or chlamydia.. most girls treat their bodies like they do their apartments, they just tuck the mess under the rug and let it go until it becomes noticeable on set. why? they don't want to take a week out to take meds and lose money. get a bi-monthly checkup people! c'mon now. you don't have to catch something to see a gyno. and btw, am i the ONLY person in the industry that isn't on drugs? if you don't actually enjoy sex, seriously girls, you are setting yourself up for possibly be suicidal. thats just CRAZY. get a job waitressing or something! it just blows my mind when i hear the same story every other day on set about Sally from Kansas who moved out to la to do porn to save her boyfriends house. and no more asking if i have a pipe, ladies! no. no. and i have a 2 drink max of jack and coke every once in a while if i'm at an awards show or after party. i start excerising a lot more after 4 months of being in the industry and drinking alcohol just kills the cals i've burned at the gym in the day. if you look at the girls who take most pride in their body - they don't engage in activity that is damaging to their health and appearance. and good skin is so important to me..after seeing the aftermath of what drugs like coke do to girls faces- thats enough to scare me away for life!
But a person with herpes can infect someone else without a visible outbreak/lesions. I am under the (perhaps incorrect) impression that most of the time porn actors don't have to disclose that they have herpes. I guess I can't see how something so contagious and easily spread isn't part of the job--not to mention HPV. I mean, there's just no way that there's so much fucking (especially sans condoms, but even with) without some STDs being shared.
