To carry on the conversation about price points - you definitely don't get to re-join with your old account at the original price point. I joined Vixen shortly after launch at $9.95 and the only deals I've been offered are 50% off ($14.95) or 30% off ($24.95). I re-joined Blacked within the last month using my old account, at a reduced rate of $14.95 for one month but re-billing at $29.95 thereafter. Fortunately a couple of days ago I caught a deal on Idealgasm.com to join Blacked for $9.95 (edit: and it stays at that price when it re-bills) so I canceled my original membership before it re-billed and re-joined using the discount. I've also seen $9.95 deals for Vixen and Blacked Raw on Idealgasm, so keep your eyes peeled and check back frequently. Not sure if other sites are offering the same deals, but Idealgasm is the only porn discount site I've seen that has deals for the Lansky sites. It's a shame that they've been gradually abandoning the principles that originally made this studio's sites so appealing and distinct from everything else being produced by the American porn industry. One of the biggest shortcomings of the porn industry is a lack of consistency, which leads to poor value for money. Sadly, over the past year this studio has become less consistent and reliable. They've abandoned some of their original principles, such as their tattoo policy, and shown a willingness to compromise the aesthetic. The content and performers have become more generic and repetitive. If you're signing up to these sites today, you have no guarantee that your favourite performers won't be paired with the guy with the gimmick. Or that content that was once a staple of the site won't suddenly become a rarity, without explanation. It's disappointing. [Link]

With women I am less picky about tattoos as long as they aren't covered in them and they aren't super garish. A couple of my favs have tattoos (Kristen Scott, Gia Paige) and that's completely fine by me (though I'm also fine with covering them up for the scene if doing so adds something to the consistency of the overall look). On other sites I watch, like Pure Taboo, tats are not an issue for me at all because it's a different vibe and aesthetic. If I'm watching Vixen, it's because I want to see sex shot with the Vixen aesthetic. I want male talent to have a look that is suited to erotic porn. It's a dealbreaker for me. Bodies that are sculpted and taken care of and guys who are attractive enough that I can accept them in the site's scenarios and set-ups, as men these women are seduced by. Jean had that in spades. Christian Clay and Johnny Sins also fit the bill. The guy Elena is paired with looks like someone I'd see on BangBros (a site I don't watch). He has a lot of tats and they're very colorful. It just doesn't work for me, it takes me out of it. I do think something about the quality is shifting, maybe even going downhill a little. Attention to detail doesn't seem the same. The photographs from these scenes are still beautiful, but it sometimes seems like less attention is being paid to hair/makeup/wardrobe. This isn't true for every scene, the women mostly still look incredible, but I have noticed it a few times. There have also been potshots taken at Greg on Twitter (I like his product but his tweets are insufferable), from other directors and performers implying he isn't present on set directing all of his shoots. Maybe that has something to do with the changes we're seeing. And lastly, another thing that kind of puts me off is the whole Vixen Angel thing. I guess it's nice for the girls, but it's a little over the top. The text on the Vixen Angel section of the website is just lol. I am all for giving performers the respect they deserve in the industry and in wider society, but it takes itself so seriously and it just makes me feel kind of silly. Vixen Angel photo shoots are not available in high resolution and the photo galleries themselves only contain a couple (15 or less) pictures. I just don't get why the pics aren't available in the same resolution (2000 x 3000) as the photo sets for every Vixen scene. And before they made the Vixen Angel photo sets available, I anticipated that the sets would contain a lot of great pics. Instead, there are so few pics in each set and there's rarely more than one or two GREAT pics in each one. 2. When a girl is selected to be a Vixen Angel, she gets the photo shoot but not a scene to go along with it. The whole concept would be a lot more meaningful for the fans if we knew there was a new scene coming when that girl we like is made a Vixen Angel. I mean, how many girls have been named a Vixen Angel and never returned to the site? So, yeah, the whole concept is cool for the women - they get some nice (expensive) swag - but it's proven to be quite meaningless to the site's members and fans.
