As a subscriber to Naughty America, I've explored their VR offerings with an iPhone 6s and a couple different plastic viewer devices. At first it felt like a joke, until I finally sorted out the right settings for the viewer app on my phone. I now see the potential of VR headset viewing of 3D porn - when the actress puts her face, boobs or ass near the camera, it's literally breathtaking, even with this fairly low-tech setup.
But the screen door effect (which is inevitable when you basically put a magnifying glass up to cellphone screen) is kind of a buzz killer, which makes me wonder what this looks like with a higher def setup. I'm not a gamer, just an old porn aficionado, so Oculus and Playstation don't interest me much. At the moment, Vuzix iWear Video Headphones seem to be promising next step. Has anyone tried one of these with virtual reality porn? They seem to be only sold through Vuzix's own website and Amazon - it's not clear if any brick and mortar retailers are carrying the thing where you can go an check them out. The $499 pricetag is offsetting, but it might be worth budgeting for if it's a porn game changer.
Eventually there are likely to be 4k or 8k (equivalent) headsets that makes TVs, computer monitors, big-screen projectors and even smartphones obsolete, not to mention me never wanting to leave the house. And there may be similar items already on the market, or soon to drop. I'd appreciate hearing from any of you pioneers who have tried the latest video glasses, or have been to CES, or have any tips on how to better enjoy this fledgling technology.
