I doubt that the 84 minute version really exists, there are more 'complete' versions that includes a bit more verbal abuse and Gillis threatening the stewardess with a gun, and the schoolgirl scene sometimes has the golden shower and mild scat cut out, and there is a credits sequence (which falsely credits Damiano as the director, really it was Shaun Costello who directed) that is sometimes missing, but there's no way those scenes add up to 12 mintues. I think it is another internet myth. Costello says that his original cut was around 70 minutes but that the shady characters who he made the film for (in New York, natch) added extra material to some prints.
BTW without a doubt the best available version is the Alpha France print, it cuts out the golden shower but otherwise is the most complete and by far the best print quality.

I saw the original in a NY porn theatre decades ago, and it sucked.
There was nothing to cut.

Tobin, do you remember what the name of the theater you saw it in was? I'm interested in the history of those kind of things.

It does exist, I have it.
There were a number of early 80s VHS releases of the film in the USA.
VHL (Video Home Library) put the film out with the expulsion scenes intact, the credits with Damiano's name, and the golden shower, the gun scene, and the verbal abuse. That version which I own runs 85:16.
VCA put the film out on VHS in 1982. It DOES NOT include the expulsions or the golden shower but it has the credits and some alternate takes/coverage to make up for the lack of expulsions. It runs 84:24.
There are two popular Dutch releases, both of which have expulsions but no credits. One also has the golden shower. Neither have all of the verbal abuse. They run, after PAL conversions, 74 minutes and 76 minutes (without PAL conversions, that's 71 minutes and 73 minutes or so).
The Alpha France DVD runs 78 minutes after PAL conversions. It is the best version to get.

Yeah, I have the Alpha France and ABA version. Didn't know about the VHL version, but it doesn't sound like I'm missing much.

I prefer it because it's the most complete but since Shaun has said his cut only ran 70 minutes or so, I realize that it's not the cut of the film that the director wanted.

Probably the Cameo, near 8th and 44th.
A place not to enter in the evening.

Great, thanks Tobin, I think the assumption was that it played at the Avon theaters, but Costello said he never worked for Avon.

Femmes De Sade is also great. You can order this from Xploited. Very much worth it, imo.

I am glad, that I have the "original" uncut dutch version on Betamax. A great movie !
Nobody here understood the fuss about the golden shower scene.

Caroline, is it true that the German title for Waterpower when it was released was SCHPRITZ?

Haha, don't worry about it, thanks Caroline, I was just trying to confirm Costello's story, but he was talking about the theatrical release back in the 70s, I doubt you were attending xxx movies back then right?
