That's not the case with Blu-ray. Replicators need to install completely new equipment for Blu-ray. Given that some of the major mainstream studios prohibit the replication of porn in the facilities that are used to replicate their own product, installing Blu-ray equipment, solely for the replication of porn discs is a large, risky investment. This was before the big Warner announcement. I think it may still be a while before every big release comes out in DVD and Blu-ray simultaneously (I say big because I'm sure there are dozens of small-to-middling companies that don't even shoot Hi-def yet), because the general public still isn't buying hi-def movies at anywhere near the rate they get DVDs. But by the end of the year the big gonzo and feature companies should have their workflows and business partnerships settled down enough to make it worthwhile to throw everything (except maybe the boring compilations) onto Blu-ray.
