Everyone else is, in the end, basically shooting things you could shoot yourself if you wanted to. And to Sexy Sadie, as far as I can tell, unless you shoot the content yourself, there are pretty much no residuals in porn, and that's not going to change anytime soon. The "EA"s pay all of the upfront money to shoot those scenes (talent costs, location costs, post-production costs, etc.), they take all of the financial risk for shooting them, so it makes sense that they're the ones that take all the profit. If a girl wants to go out and make and distribute her own DVDs in that mold, more power to her, and I wish her the best, but I don't see why those companies would (or really should) give up a piece of the action, and I don't see any of the girls refusing to shoot for them because of it. In fact, Evil Angel probably actually comes the closest to what you just mentioned anyway, in that they basically allow the best performers to become producers themselves and start to get those profits (look at what Bobbi Starr has been doing over the past year, or how Belladonna's career has changed over time). It was a bit weird shooting with new male talent (I've used the same male talent for over a year now). He was quite handsome though. I would've liked to have spoken with him more before the scene as I literally only chatted with him for about a minute or two. Shooting with two other people is difficult too. I think it's probably easier to do a threesome or group scene when you have a director present but neither Rio nor I use a director. I'm quite happy with the scene though.
