What do you use to watch your massive porn collections these days? I used to be able to quickly jump around the video with VLC, but newer days videos are getting bigger and bigger and it's really frustrating not being able to fast forward Is VLC no longer best tool? VLC is a media playing software you run on your computer for playing all manner of audio and video files. "VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVDs, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols." I (and others) like it because it is so flexible and powerful and is capable of playing practically anything you throw at it. Other media-playing softwares tend to have limited capabilities or require user to install codecs or otherwise tinker with them in order to play "unusual" files.
When I watch a scene on my computer I still use VLC. However, I rarely watch scenes on my computer anymore. My recommendation to any serious porn fan is to buy a media player that plugs into your TV. I own a [ invalid url ] and it is the best porn-related accessory I have ever purchased. I download a 1080p scene from whatever site I have a membership with that month, copy it to an external hard drive, plug the drive into my WD Media Player, and boom, I've got porn playing in glorious HD on TV. Whenever I'm compelled by circumstance to watch a scene on my computer, the overall experience pales in comparison. So yeah, get a media player. Edited by - Mister Fahrenheit on 9/2/2016 5:30:08 PM

I'm all about streaming scenes on my iPad nowadays. And thanks to vastly improved streaming capabilities, I can now stream scenes in 1080p with little to no disruption.
VLC came around when other options such as Quick Time or Windows Media Player couldnt play all formats (mainly .avi files back in the day). Its still a good player with a lot of options to customize - but why can't you fast forward with it? My VLC does this easily (either with the browse bar or right-click > fast forward)
Lately on a tablet. I'll spare everyone the Too Much Information, and just say I find the tablet is an acceptable compromise, and I don't get backaches from sitting in my computer chair. Edited by - Stanley Moon on 10/26/2016 8:24:25 PM
I make DVDs, complete with menus, slideshows, etc. To see the full glory of 1080p I'll need a blu-ray burner. Getting a media player is likely in my near future, though I actually enjoy making DVDs.
I like your idea the best, but a quality hard drive, and unit like you described is a few hundred. Still am tiring of purchasing, and having adult dvd's. I rarely buy standard dvd titles unless really rare, and or dirt cheap at places like GW.
^ I was going to dispute you on the Media Player price, but holy crap, I just re-checked the listings on Amazon for Western Digital Media Players and the quality, non-refurbished ones are going for $250 right now! What the hell, mine was only like a hundred bucks when I got it. I couldn't understand how WD thought they could compete with Roku at that price. Turns out they don't: they've discontinued their media player. This sucks big time. The only other media player I've tried to play my porn on is Roku and it doesn't support anywhere near the number of file types that the WD does. If my current WD breaks I'll be so boned. Finding a back-up WD at a reasonable price just became a huge priority for me.
At the prices I was looking at I will just keep buying the occasional DVD, and throw them on here, or adult DVD Marketplace. I probably have about fifty titles I am no longer interested in.
I finally found a way to seamlessly play my hd downloads on my tv. My new blu-ray player has a usb input! It's by no means a top of the line player. In fact it cost me only $70 or so. The model I got is an LG BP-165. As long as the hd is formatted to ntfs it seems to play just about anything. Even upscaled 540p videos look great.

With all the used goods buying you do, you should be able to find a second hand desktop computer for next to nothing to use as a home theater PC. All you really need is for it to boot up when it's switched on, and be new enough to have an HDMI graphics port. Use the existing Windows installation if it works, or wipe the hard drive and put Linux on it. I think there are packages that are preconfigured for HTPC use, or just use something like Mint or Ubuntu if you don't care about having a fancy interface. Buy an inexpensive wireless keyboard with touchpad so you can control it from across the room. Put a $100 4TB hard drive in it if you want enough storage for more porn than you could watch in ten lifetimes.
^Harri as always you compress a wealth of advice into a mere paragraph. Maybe there's some hope for the couple of old desktops I have lying around here. Thanks!
Well i think make collection on porn on computer is too dangerous, i don't stock any videos on my computer anymore, just watch online, maybe get a cloud storage for all your videos will be better for the future and you can share it with other^^. But as now i just watch 3d 180° virtual reality porn with headset just so much more immersive than a simple video.

I store my porn on a server and I can watch it on my laptop through network shares or stream it to my Amazon Fire TV using Plex. Plex is a great free app, you guys should look into it. You don't need an actual server to do run Plex Media Server, any desktop that meets their minimum system requirements will do.

Home Theater PC -> Files stored on Synology NAS (16TB) -> MPC-HC with MadVR & ReClock -> Vizio P75 C1 4K TV For those who care about image/sound quality, The MPC-HC with MadVR & ReClock is the best. It takes some time to set up, and there are several how-to guides online, but it's worth it if you watch on your PC. VLC is a great practical tool (I still use it for anything where image quality isn't a concern) but is quite limited when it comes to improving image quality.
Android media players with HDD bays are great. Ya just plop a big ole HDD in there, connect to da TV, and off ya go to beat yer meat. They play any and all downloads from porn sites and VOD services. All SmartTVs and Blu-Ray players will also play back media files from USB storage, so if you want to go that route, just get a big USB HDD or put an SSD in a case and use that. You can get great playback quality from the built-in media players in those if you choose the right hardware. An SSD or good USB thumb drive is ideal though.

prefer to use hdd per usb to TV or Blu Ray Player as i like to watch it on the big screen, only skipped thru the scenes on the pc to check if the files okay, really watching stuff only on the TV.
I don't have a TV (haven't watched TV in years, good riddance), but I have a video projector (BENQ W1500) connected to my PC. - One wall of my bedroom is all screen - Home cinema is great for movies... and great for porn. I use the standard windows photo viewer in full screen mode to scroll through my porn pics. To skip back and forth I use the cordless mouse as some sort of crude remote. Works great. For movies I still use the vlc-player. Edited by - lip on 11/25/2017 1:06:35 AM

On my computer, I use the default movies and TV app that comes with Windows. On my TV, I connect my portable hard drive to my ROKU device.
^ There are a few, but I've only bought the format from Elegant Angel on Adultdvdempire. And most of them are becoming discontinued, which is a shame because they are superior to the SD DVD versions.
