It gets boring because too many directors are painting by numbers. Every once in a while, somebody will come up with something creative and original. But the problem is is that when that happens, every director in the business copies that original idea and it isn't original anymore after the industry has churned out a gazillion titles with exactly that thing as the main emphasis of the movie. An artist doesn't walk into an art gallery, take snapshots of great, original works of art and then go home and copy them down to the finest detail. You could do that with a photocopier. Sure. It takes talent to master the technical skills in order to do it but there's no creativity. Creativity and imagination is what art is all about. I'm tired of seeing this. It drives me batshit. Every girl has to say "Oh god! That dick feels so good in my pussy!" as though that's the only thing she could possibly say. I hate it when male actors or camera men ask stupid questions like "Is your pussy getting wet?". But I hate it even more when the female talent feels obligated to say "Ohhhh yes! And here's one of my pet peeves about a whole lot of porn. What is with the wide angle lenses? They're not just wide. They're damn near fisheye. Or "peephole" as I like to call them. Who wants to watch porn though a peephole? Go to your front door (if your door has a peephole) and look through it. How many movies could you watch with that kind of distortion before it drove you completely batty? Guess what? If the picture is so distorted that the walls of the room are bowing out, it's gonna make the girl (and everything else) look all fucked up too. I think most of the girls in the porn industry are attractive but it's kind of hard to tell when they look like that. It might make a girl's ass look a little bigger but it also just doesn't look right. If you also like the natural shape of a girl's ass and not just the size, distortion is BAD. Extreme distortion is even worse. Wide angle lenses should be used sparingly, if at all. And they should only be used by people who know how to use them properly. In porn, accuracy is important. Probably at least half of my time watching porn over the years has been spent just fucking with the color controls. Often just making it worse. Scenes that are shot outside or in natural light. This can be done well but it usually isn't and the results when it isn't are often terrible. Video camera technology has come along a bit but it isn't perfect and it can't deal with every conceivable situation on it's own. The operator has to know what they're doing to get good results in a number of situations, rather than just setting the thing on autopilot and trusting it to get everything right. There are too many variables and often, in order to get really good results, it needs to be done in a controlled environment by someone who knows what to do when things are under or overexposed or when things are too blue or too red or whatever.
