I've always wondered what happens to the furniture used in porn scenes after shooting is done. Is it professionally cleaned? Is it sold or thrown out? Some of it looks like pretty nice stuff. It must take quite a pounding though. Also, I don't imagine it always smells too good. What's the deal?

My best guess is that they clean it (as best they can) when it needs to be cleaned and reuse it endlessly until they have need for something a little more up to date. After that, I'd assume that it either gets given to someone who knows it's history, doesn't care and wants it anyway or is given or sold to someone who has no clue. What you don't know might stink but it probably won't hurt you.
