Just thinking about the Ariel Castro case and how he described himself as a "porn addict". It's got me wondering what exactly are the traits to which one can be considered a porn addict? Some might say that's simple!!,"Someone who watches too much porn".. right? But is that all it boils down to?
I tend to peep a scene or two a day!!..but only two days in a week do i watch porn to "let off steam" so to speak. I look forward to new scenes coming out from my favorite porn sites and sometimes i explore tube sites to see if there's some undiscovered gems!!..i do have standards though and there's PLENTY of genres i don't watch or have any interest in. And even in the genres i like such as IR i don't like scenes with certain actors like LT, Pumper and Pipes!!.
Many a time my computer has broken down and i've been without porn for weeks!!..it's not bothered me one bit though. But when i do have internet access i find it tough to break the routine.
I'm not sure if this has been discussed lately but i just thought i'd see what peoples thoughts our on this issue.

If it's considered 'bad' people tend to call it an addiction more easily. Even if it's not fucking up your entire life (which I think is the key requirement for calling something addiction).
Way I see it... my libido is slightly bigger than normal... and I was not raised by religious parents, why I see no real reason to supress it.
Alliance won DOTA some month ago (swedish team), some 1,2 million dollars or so, these guys practiced all day for months. Now if they didn't felt like competing, they would've been pathetic losers.

Cheers for your input Guzno!!..it's interesting to hear other peoples perspective on this topic. I guess the question is can being so caught up in porn lead to other issues in ones life like mental problems? That Castro case was a real eye opener because he threw porn under the bus bigtime.

In many ways it reminds me of when a gunman has went on the rampage in the US and the links the experts always look for in the gunman "broken home as a child" "heavy metal music in his collection" "likes violent video games" "was a loner" all that nonsense when the reality is that anyone and i do mean anyone can kill, people can just flip and sadly when some do they are hell bent on taking down others with them then they can play the victim card and apportion the blame on things like porn etc.
To get back on topic i would view myself as a porn addict and have no shame in that tag at all in fact i wear it as a badge of honor lol, again the question is what is too much or what other aspects of your life suffer because you are a porn addict.Personally for me i do all the things i want to and porn still plays a huge part in my life and that includes when i am in relationships,it does not stop me from holding down a job and doing all my other hobbies like attending the Gym/Fitness classes etc and it does not make women in work/clubs/reality etc unattainable through choice just because i have porn as some kind of comfort zone.
I watch everything in porn all the genres and im still the same person and i cannot wait for new scenes from my fave Studios/Directors/Girls...is beating off every night an addiction well for me it's a necessity and with or without porn i would still be beating off as my imagination is sometimes better than any porn movie ever.

In big terms Gunzo addiction means something bad... and porn-addiction is a real medical term.
Well it is a bit awkward to reference it in a porn promotion site, but porn, like all things in life need
measure. Otherwise, it can seriously mess up your brain and change your life and your behavior completely.
Reproduction brain functions are very powerful and very vulnerable to visual stimulation. So be careful! The danger is real man. Porn can be great and beautiful and even educative but too much of it without understanding of what you are watching, can be very harmful.
Your brain must be mature and you have to be able to distinguish porn from real life and erotic privacy.
Thats why it is a product for adults and should not by any mean directed to kids or teenagers who havent developed yet their libido.
A porn addiction has symptoms like other diseases of the same kind. It can create psychological obsessive disorders, penile dysfunctions, brain damages and other bad things. And thats only the medical stuff. It can also create problems in your personal life or alter your personality (assist raping instincts etc). I sound too scary but there is a big dosage of truth to what I am saying.
So my advice, enjoy responsibly the visual satisfaction that quality porn can offer, but detoxicate yourself from time to time completely.
Thats all..

Well it depends on what is intended with "watching too much porn" , for example I surely buy too much porn, more than I could possibly watch and I already only watch the scenes I'm interested to not the whole DVD, in many cases I don't even watch them. It's like a collection you buy and collect rather than watch.
So yes I may watch too much porn but to use it? Hardly that much.
Also I had a girlfriend who was a porn hater and asked me get rid of all my porn, I just did and threw off all of it , in a matter of a day, no regret no pain no nothing, I just did and never even thought about it for all the three years we stayed together (she was wonderful in bed I must add) and didn't for a while later when all was over, but I found a little box in my garage that I overlooked when I was throwing out all my porn and then I begun to buy porn again , mostly what I already had before.
Addiction?
I don't know , can I get rid of it? yes, any time.

An addiction is when a hobby starts fucking up the rest of your life.

Some people this that anybody who watches porn is automatically an addict. As we all know, that's complete nonsense. I'm sure that most people who watch porn don't spend all their time watching it. I hate it when people talk about porn like it's a disease. What is even worse is those people would include movies like "Wasteland", which is actually a great drama that just happens to have hardcore sex scenes. Nobody in their right mind would place that movie with the likes of something like "Pump My Ass Full Of Cum". But we're talking about people who are extremely small-minded, and will condemn any movie that has sex in it. To them it's all the same. They don't see that porn is just a genre of movie, and that it's just entertainment. Porn isn't harmful at all.
As for me, porn is a very small part of my life. I don't even watch that much porn, so I would hardly qualify as an addict.

I have over 3,800 porno movies on my hardrives. I don't see myself as an addict. I've been a long time member at some sites, and of course the amount of movies are going to pile up. The top networks release 50 to 60 scenes per month such as Brazzers and Naughty America.
