What kinds of storylines would you like to see in porn that haven’t been done or not given enough attention?

Good ones.
A bit of everything would be nice: romantic, horror, sci-fi, thrillers, even something like the old 'roughies' modernized would be cool. More actual parodies or more straight 'porn versions' of mainstream films would also be welcome.

I'd like to see more lighthearted comedies like many of the softcore T&A flicks that came out in the early 80s with summer camp, military, college and high school senior (18 years old) bases. I'd like to see more true attempts at horror porn. Hollywood perfected the naked girl then someone gets killed formula, it doesn't require much to become porn. Most that I see skimp on the horror.
I thought I would add that movies that contain characters that don't necessarily have sex in the movie is good. A decent plot is probably going to have non-sex characters. There are plenty actors and actresses in the industry to do more developed movies, of all ages. Many stars from the classic times that demonstrated acting abilities back then are still around in the industry. Even if they don't do sexual performances anymore they can still do non-sex performances.
I recognize that movies like this would cost more than the average feature movie but I expect they would be considerably cheaper than most of the big budget adult movies being made. And by changing how they are made can save considerable amounts of money. For instance Roger Corman used to redress sets and use them shooting back to back movies. The same can be done here. A high school classroom set could quickly be repainted and redressed to become a military reservist room. Erected summer camp cabins can be used in a comedy and then a horror porn can then be shot using the same cabins repainted and redressed.
Edited to combine three posts together.

I would like to see more of the plots along the lines of aphrodisiacs, love potions, voodoo spells, cursed jewel/statue/other knickknack, mad scientist like psychological experimentation, etc. type of plots that turn the everyday woman in the street into a raging nymphomaniac/completely filthy, dirty slut. Yes this has been a familiar staple in porn but a lot of times the plot gets thrown out the window after the first fifteen minutes of the movie. If anyone ever saw the old Traci Lords movie Love Bites it had the perfect execution(other than that slight detail of the star of the movie not being 18 when it was filmed) of this plot where a mosquito is used as the device to advance the plot.
Of course discussing porn plots in this gonzo saturated age of porn is like discussing what is the best type of tree to keep your pet goldfish in.
Edited because I forgot to spell check before hitting enter.

There are companies still doing feature films. I wish they had ways for people outside the industry to submit scripts. I have one half finished that I would complete if I thought there was a more than a snowballs chance in hell of it actually getting produced.

Flash already made my point. I would like to see a return to 70's and 80's style plots in porn. Drive-in schlock works especially well in porn.

Agreed.
I want good stories that don't just act as catalysts to have sex scenes.
Psychodramas and surrealism gets my attention.

I was going to post a topic on movies that should stop being made, but this is a much better idea. Here are a couple things I'd like to see,
-A classic Jim Thompson style Grifter movie. I love his black humor and kinky sex.
-If your going to do a sitcom then do four or five episodes and release that as the dvd.
-Pick better T.V. shows, Mad Men , Eureka (for all us geeks),or a trashy show like Dirty Sexy Money.
-Get some variety in the set-ups of the scenes, not every scene needs the same positions. Vary the length, let each performance dictate the length, when a scene is lackluster cut it shorter and let the hotter ones run long.
-And finally a studio could have some of its movies share the same universe, where each movie is connected in some way and at the end of the year an integrated blockbuster can tie them all together.

Kinda like what Ron Sullivan did with Taboo American Style. I think that's a neat idea. Instead of doing one feature length parody they should do a few episodes of a "mini" XXX TV show.

I would like to see more movies like In Love and Take Off,a couple great classics that told a great story involving a
characters life moving from decade to decade. That is what I would to see, like the Wade Nichols character in Take Off
Darrin Blue, telling a story using flashback.

I'd love to see something along the lines of "Shane's World Meets the Swingers" (two lubed thumbs up) except instead of college-age porn stars have older porn stars like Savanna Samson, Lisa Ann, Julia Ann, Randy Spears, others who are 40ish. They could do a documentary style intro at a swinger's convention that shows the porn stars conversing with real swinging couples, then have the porn stars meet the swingers in their homes or at a swing club for two on two action and, hopefully, an orgy scene.
Of course, the swingers would need to sign releases but wouldn't it be great to see civilians and porn stars enjoying each other's bodies?

I would like to see the softcore porn films of the 90s with Catalina Laranga turned into porn:
House of Love
Voyeur Confessions
Passions Peak
Embrace the Darkness I and II
These movies had decent acting and some hot scenes that to this day I can't seem to get with regular porn very often. If they had just gone a bit further than the occasional privates shots.
Please no more guys like Randy Spears in white coats and glasses!
Please no more fake geeks.
Please no more beds without sheets on them.
Realism, believability are key.

I'd like to see more of this as well, except the "gimmick" that I prefer would be to Hypnotize women into having sex.
Apologies if I seem to be harping on this too much, but to my mind there have been too few adult movies with Hypnosis as a plot device, and that's what I want to see.

Why not?
Porn directors are using music from people they find off of MySpace.
I'm pretty sure that big rule in the mainstream about not accepting unsolicited scripts doesn't apply to the pornworld.
I think Randy Spears even stated in an interview about 2 years ago that he wanted scripts and to mail them to Wicked Picture's offices.
Finish it.

Erotic thrillers are an obvious choice here. They may no longer sell in the mainstream movie industry (even tiny no-name indie studios won't touch them), but they could have a place in porn. Blacksix, Flash, Backdoorman, and John Lyons said everything that I would have said.

yeah keep writing ideas. I had a few that I talked to Mason about via email and she said she liked them. I miss storylines - sometimes just seeing a girl walking in a nice home, posing etc until some guys come over gets dull and repetitive no matter how great the sex scene.

I'd like to see one set in an Australian zoo, where a long line of Japanese tourists are waiting to cuddle koalas and pet kangaroos. It is sweltering in the hot sun. Two young Japanese women (bearing an uncanny resemblance to Maria Ozawa and Sora Aoi) wander off from the line and down a cool, shaded, lane. At the end of the lane is a small enclosure. Sprawled out on a rock, basking in the sun, is a naked, tall, muscular man wearing a wombat mask. He has an erection, his stiff, long and thick cock, slowly swaying side to side. A young Australian woman in a ranger uniform (bearing an uncanny resemblance to Kiki Vidis) beckons the two Japanese tourists and asks them if they want to "pet the wombat". The two girls nod their heads and nervously enter the enclosure. They kneel beside the 'wombat', one caressing his balls, whilst the other strokes his cock shaft.
The two tourists then disrobe and their skin glistens in the heat.
Sweaty, 'no-holes' barred, outdoor sex ensues in every conceivable position on rocks and in the dirt.
As all three now lie spent sprawled across the rock, we see a long line of Japanese women tourists snapping photos and being held back at the enclosure gate by the young ranger.
To be continued ...

alie in wonderland,
wizard of oz, and other "loss of innocence" fairytales...
I would really like it if the the show "the l word" just went hardcore and didnt change anything else. It's like my favorite show anyway, and already has its fair share of softcore. just add some more butches into the mix and go from there.
or how about a really well made musical (like "rent") with porn put into it.
anyway, i'll just toss out a few ideas here
fantasy, and supernatural
lgbt comedies and romances
musicals
and how bout remaking the taboo series?
I love the incest stories and everythig in those but theyre just so extremley dated, that they lose their appeal... I think some really well acted versions of some of the erotic stories many of us regularly read would be a great move... just tear down the wall that seperates mainstream film from adult film, and hold them to equal standards... I'm sick of my erotica being lower grade than a soap opera.

Stories
Pizza delivery
Plumber repair
Car broke down
Hitchking
Lost a bet
My father is not home.
My husband is in on a business trip
The list is endless. Needless to say I don't like storys and if I want a screenplay I will watch the $1 million dollars ones rather than the $25,ooo ones
Sometimes the $1 million dollar ones are boring.
Heaven's Gate
Missouri Breaks
The list is also endless. Seeing a sassy 18 year old walking down the street and her short skirt blowing in the breeze and seeing a few glimpses of her pantys and butt cheeks and watching a car pull if and she slides in and 60 secons later we see her with a dick in her ass, is enough story for me.
But if you like storys in your porno, then more power to you. I don't like the opening shot to be a girl pile drived either. Don't like the opening shot to be even pantys or nude. Baby Doll is ok.

This was hilarious...
Of course discussing porn plots in this gonzo saturated age of porn is like discussing what is the best type of tree to keep your pet goldfish in.
I was howling.
I concur with the incest theme. For awhile I was going to quit my job, move to San Francisco, and just do low budget incest movies (ha, compared to the high budget ones). It seems that it's a theme in a lot of films, but no one has truly capitalized on it, like based a production company on incest movies. But I might be mistaken.
The XXX sitcom is an interesting idea, but most DVD's I see now have that format of short subjects, though they don't all interelate.
I love the idea of a housewife, pure and prim, being corrupted and then being completely debased. Think a film version of a Rebecca Hap comic. I know, been done, but I like the theme.
How about a religious woman, highly religious, who is corrupted. Damn, been done as well.
How about a wild, oversexed cheerleader in Texas?
Now, we're talking originality...
To me, the setup is key. I like the setup, then the sex. But if the performers are into it and smokin', the story doesn't have to be all there, but best of all, a good story (reluctant housewife, curious teen, total whore in love) and then terrific performers who sell every inch and spurt of the sex.

The feature side includes all "erotica". $25,000 storylines aren't worthing the time. Just get to the tease, undressing and sex. Name me 3 porno's with an interesting story? I will be waitiing.

What makes a good story then? CGI explosions? Predictable horror movies? Dime a dozen romance dramas?

Have any of the good films mentioned had their storyline stolen for a tv movie of the week? As I mentioned before, need a setup not necessarily a story. As indicated before, do not like the opening scene to be a woman's vigina or even panties and bra. Like to see a woman undress and tease her boyfriend with a dance or kisses on the ear. Setup yes, ten minutes of conversation between sex scenes no. If a screenwriter had a good idea for a story, why would he sell it to Vivid for $25,000 and not Warner Brothers for $100,000.

Because he might actually want to see the movie get made? Warner Brothers doesn't make porn. Some people want porn with a storyline. If that isn't your cup of tea, there are millions of gonzo titles with exactly what you want. A few minutes of (usually poorly shot) tease and straight to the sex. Why in the world would you protest a genre of porn that at least tries to be something more?

If you are just looking for more yes men who only agree with you, just say so and quit spamming up this Forumn. I thought this Forumn was for all ideas not just someones narrow opinion. Just saw the new James Bond and there is a $750,000 story. Please look again at the subject matter of this Forum. Softcore movies and erotic. If James Bond is not part erotica, then the Bond Girls are wasting their time on people like you. Like my porn in about 20 minute doses. Get arounsed for later or take matters into my own hands. If I want a hour and a half story, will see a James Bond film with an excellent storyline and if I want porn will get a gonzo. I rarely mix my pleasures. If you can't stand the heat stay out of the Forum.

The problem is this:
Why SHOULD'NT an X rated movie have 10 minutes (or even more) of WELL WRITTEN dialogue between sex scenes?
If you're honestly going to deny the talented people who have written great scripts for X rated movies then you're denying a lot of talent.
I'm not trying to say that every script is good and worth seeing, but that there are many well written X rated films out there.
The other problem I have with what you're saying is your preferance of &quotup" over story...
In that case, you're asking for vignette movies, which generally suck.
You fail to realize however that most Hollywood films are nothing but set-ups. In a horror movie, the story is a set-up for violence, in an action movie, it's the set-up for shootouts or explosions, in comedies it's the set-up for gags and humor. So, you see, a story is often the set-up for something else which, without the presence of a story, would be pointless, like sex scenes.

98% of this board thinks features suck; that stories in porn are pointless. PT even thinks features are not a good format for porn. He's a champion of the vignette. So Junglew's opinion is nothing new or groundbreaking in the least, but just wanting to argue for the sake of arguing is silly.
I do wonder how much a porn script gets someone. I bet my life it's not $25,000. (I don't think feature directors even get that much for a movie.) I wonder if it even breaks $1000.

Hahaha. Exactly. :)
It can't be much. $500? Maybe? I'm sure porn scripts aren't shopped around or anything. That's what was so ludicrous about junglew's slamming of porn writers. It's not the same process as mainstream.
A lot of feature directors write their own stuff.
And girlfriends. Directors' girlfriends seem to help a lot.

I like the Bond movies but they are powered by the filmmaking, not the screenwriting. That you would pick that as an example of great screenwriting is hilarious.
If you don't like porn features don't bother posting in the features forum. Simple.

Just a word of advice if you are trying to submit a script to anyone, whether it is adult or mainstream: Copyright your stuff.
I know that you can do the "poor man's copyright", but when you are dealing with blind sends, it's better to have a formal and legal copyright in place.
You also do not have to copyright each individual script. You can file together a series of scripts that you have written and copyright it as a collection.
Registration for a formal copyright is about $45 and you can now copy right and submit all of your materials online at http://www.copyright.gov/ for around $35, and you have instant proof that you have begun the registration process. Otherwise, you have to wait for them to mail you the finished forms, and that can take over a month.
