I think in the '70s John Holmes would have held the title, but these days they produce movies faster so someone like Peter North has probably surpassed Holmes by now.

I would guess that the top 3 are
1. Dave Hardman
2. Tom Byron
3. Ron Jeremy
Based on number of movies in IAFD and excluding movies marked as compilations, their current IAFD stats are:
1. Dave Hardman 1,873 movies 1993-2007 (15 yrs)
2. Tom Byron 1,799 movies 1982-2007 (26 yrs)
3. Ron Jeremy 1,716 movies 1979-2007 (29 yrs)
Of course the data has limitations (i.e. not all movies are in IAFD, they may not be credited in some movies that are in IAFD, not all compilations are marked in IAFD, etc...), but I think this gives you a pretty good idea. (I'm not picking on IAFD, it is a great resource).
There are probably 20-25 guys in IAFD with +1,000 credits, but I think these three are significantly ahead of the rest of the pack.
If the IAFD DBA reads this, maybe he can run a query for you. Or, you could try inquiring in that forum.
PS. I recall responding to a thread on this topic around a year ago.

I was actually very suprised too when I saw that. I think it's cause Gillis didn't start until he was 28.

It is relatively easy to find out who had the most sex on camera. Yesterday I did my scene number 1996 which I got paid for. Additionally are the scenes in my own movies. I don't have that in my bookkeeping because I don't pay myself but it would be easy to find that out, too.
That question is probably impossible two answer. I just know, that I had more sex off camera than on screen.

Keep in mind that when you just go by titles on iafd.com, that many of the performers you mentioned might have done more than 1 scene in each movie.
