Personally I think VHS is useless. DVD has superior looks and can contain more stuff like extras. And to top that off, no rewinding and you get chapters!

But since most places have switched over, and 99% of online companies rent and sell DVD, it is the way to go. Ric from Black Widow was right saying no distributor wants to pay even the cost tp make the VHS tape. Everytime one of these threads comes up, I like to make it known that I still have some VHS to move. Since I have yet to receive one response, I can only assume no one wants them. I'm talking for rental. And when you go to rent, especially a new title, your chances of getting the DVD copy is pretty slim. Since my porn PURCHASES are highly selective, and I've had to swallow some bitter pills in the past when I bought before I'd seen a flick, I always preview a flick before I purchase it. This means rental. I have both formats, but I almost always have to rent the VHS edition cuz the DVD is never there. DVDs are smaller and cheaper to make, why not offer more of them? BSD [Link] |
