I think people have to keep in mind that these are performers, so more goes on in production and behind-the-scenes that we don't see. These kind of rough scenes really used to bother me until I started talking to some of the performers who actually engage in them or who at least know about them. Not to say that performers don't get overzealous or sometimes go overboard, but these scenes usually don't happen without some kind of conversation and/or planning beforehand.

Now if you were to go to someone's work place and could see person "X" once every few hours but every time you saw him he was rude to other people. Would you be inclined to think that he's really a nice person or would you assume, like us, that he's an asshole? You made some excellent points and I for one can honestly say that I don't know Nacho except through his work on screen and therefore I only judge him based on that. Whether he's a nice gentle loving man between scenes is irrelevant because I don't hang around with him so I'll never see it.

One thing I find funny about this thread is a lot of industry folks have jumped in to defend Nacho Bell Grande, but if you switch over to the Brian "Ass Sniffer" Pumper thread some of the industry folks just trash the guy.

I think he he's being facetious. I think. I hope. Interestingly, if you look at the revision history for that article, the "why he is called Nacho" vandalism is pretty recent, but the part about the fans all being gay was snuck in years ago, and it doesn't look like anybody ever tried to remove it.
There is really nothing wrong with people who have unrealistic fantasies turning to porn in order to indulge them. As long as they are mindful of the fact that this is a deliberately constructed fantasy world where things that don't generally happen in RL can happen. Instead of insulting people who like this stuff (I mean, come on. It's a cheap shot), it would be much more constructive to make sure they're aware of the difference between fantasy and reality. TBH, I haven't seen any Nacho scenes in a long time but I would at least hope the people who make the stuff keep the boundaries clearly defined in their own heads. This stuff is always going to be seen as abuse by some people no matter how it's presented. Unfortunately, I guess there's always going to be an opportunity for people who would abuse the situation where you have participants who have agreed to a certain amount of roughness. I hope it's a lot more rare than some people seem to think it is. I really don't know enough about Nacho to say anything about him in particular.
