XrentDVD.com just launched a big Private sale, which I immediately took as an excellent opportunity to purchase about 6 or 7 Private titles that I've been wanting to get for a while, as well as 1 or 2 that I've thought looked interesting but I wasn't ready to shell out $20+ for. As I loaded up my ADT comparison cart and got ready to buy, a thought occured to me... won't at least a couple of the other big online retailers follow suit with Private sales of their own, as they did a month or so ago when the first Private sale happened? If I wait for a kickback participant to join in, I can get an additional 5-15% off (or back, as the case may be). Of course, the danger exists that if I wait, a lot of these may go on backorder as they did during the last sale, or in a worst case scenario the sale could end while I sit on my ass since no specific time period seems to be mentioned anywhere. Any thoughts? Of course, Xrent could join the kickback program to solve this problem. I never bought from adultdvdempire.com until they joined it (and joined it in spades at 15%, I might add). If you keep looking at prices after you've bought it, you're pretty likely to find it cheaper than what you paid. But since it's only going to make you feel cheated, don't waste your time or submit to the aggravation.  [Link] |

Others drop their prices when they get an unexpected/exceptional deal on a big batch of product from a studio starving for cash. The pricing game is so hit or miss at some stores you're better off playing roulette than trying to guess how to maximize your savings. I know some stores in our price search treat their repeat customers very well. It's not unheard of to get a special coupon, discount or free title from time to time when you're a repeat buyer. There is, after all, a difference between being frugal and being a skinflint. As my father always said of the stock market, pigs get fed, but hogs get slaughtered. P.S.
