Female performers have alot more power in this business than they know--they should not appear in movies made by producers who refer to them as whores--it's an ugly word, it's full of hate, and it isn't cool.

"Ass Blasting Felching Anal Whores"--that's the name of Jim Power's newest release. And they call this the "adult" business. These stupid names are so uncool. But Jim Powers sounds even stupider--I'm sick and tired of ugly male producers calling these beautiful female performers "whores"

Jim Powers: “Then one day I slipped and hit my head while I was standing on my toilet to hang a clock,” recounts Powers, “The idea for making felching acceptable to the mainstream porn consumer, and perhaps more importantly to the whores who have to suck cum out of each others’ rancid assholes, came to me in a vision while I was passed out. “We gave every whore a powerful (and neon bright) cleansing enema prior to the scene and captured the explosive and detoxifying expulsions on film for your viewing pleasure,” explains Powers, “I don’t know why I didn’t think of it earlier. I can definitely guarantee that there was nothing ‘unsavory’ left in these girls’ colons after the cleaning. It will blow your mind.”

Performers, you should stop and consider how stupid it makes you look to appear in movies like this--look how this guy talks about you, calling you whores.

Why can't performers put these idiotic producers in their place--the rest of society has no problem doing it.

I hope at least one xxx adult star will post that she agrees that some of these ugly little men making these movies need to have some respect for the ladies.

The "Whore" word
by Norma Jean Almodovar 1996

I am a woman.... and if I get out of line, you call me a whore!

And if I have a good time, you call me a whore!

And if I speak my mind- you call me a whore!

You throw the word at me when I stand on my own

You use the word often to hold me down.

You ever remind me that whores are the worst-

the outcasts, pariahs, without any worth.

"You're just a whore!" you repeat like a mantra-

Like a shot of cold water to dampen my joy.

'You're just a whore- so what do you know?

and what do I care of whatever you think!"

"You're a whore," is a dagger you drive through my heart

as you pound into my psyche that name..

You equate everything that I ever thought good- with that word

which you spit out like venom- to show me how awful I am.

But I ask you, please tell me, just what is a whore?

A whore says what she thinks and she thinks for herself...

She's independent and feisty- so what? is there more?

Why does it frighten you so to know I've a mind of my own

and don't need your permission to live or to love or to be?

And what if I tell you

I don't care anymore if you call me a whore...

What will you call me now?

I would agree in this sense that "whore" is a perjorative term for prostitute, which I find objectionable (especially since the working girls have provided me so much joy and asked for so little in return.) I have asked several people in the adult profession not to use that word, much like I would object to the "n" bomb.

Another crusade?

Thanks fundo, for creating the most funny threads.

Reading about why/how people should be changing the popular use of the English language is sort of like seeing someone sit in a corner, curled up in fetal position, rocking back and forth crying.

Totally pointless and sad.

I hope some adult entertainer will say in this thread that she's sick of these little men dogging ladies with the "w" word.

There are thousands of escorts in the USA. There are escort review boards like theeroticereview.com , aspd.net. bigdoggie.net, theotherboard.com and several others---and not one of those boards allows any poster or review writer to use the "w" word.

I'm just tired of these producers like Jim Powers, Kan Tusion, JM and the others that have given porn a worse name than it already had in the 90s.

Seka, Veronica Hart,Ginger Lynn, Nina Hartley--they never were called the w word by their peers with the venom that the producers do today.

Seems to me avoiding the word, would needlessly instill a sense of shame. Why do that?
I see nothing shameful in what they've chosen to do, and as such, the word carries no influence.
Furthermore, the frequent, casual use of the word acts to neutralize any stigma, some, if any, may still have. Eventually, when they realize the word's absolute meaningless significance, gain some confidence, and perspective, they'll likely be empowered by it.

I like whore and slut and girls that like to feel that way. Kinzie Kenner is asked about anal in Anal Expedition 9 and she say's 'It's a whole new level of being a whore', like it's something new and exciting to her.

I don't like much about Mike Power's work though. Some may find him a genius but not me.

Fundo,

These types of things are of the essence in "hardcore porn". It's how the industry thrives. Women being degraded as sexual objects for fantasy purposes only. That's why there are series' like "black street hookers". They are catering to what sells and what people want.(female performers included) There are many males that like hearing a female being called a "whore", "slut" "cum dumpster" and everything under the sun. The industry would suffer big time without this type of content.

If these things bother you, maybe you shouldn't watch hardcore porn...

Dear fundo,

most girls in the business are proud when you tell them what a great whore she is.

Although a few of my colleagues really don't like being called a whore and I always wandered why. This word describes perfectly what we are. A person who engages in promiscuous sexual intercourse, usually for money. (thank you Double Vag Lover)

I did a BBG rough sex scene once. The girl was OK with degrading her, slapping her around and pee on her. But she complaint when the other guy in the scene who was black called her white. She demanded "no racial references". Call her a whore is OK, but don't call her a white whore.

I used to be pretty offended by it. Some people say it TRYING to get a reaction out of others.
Today I have a problem more with people who have mean attitudes than about specific words that are used. Words don't permanently injure someone.

My best friend uses the word 'hooker' as a term of endearment towards her good friends and in referring to herself, and she's not a porn performer at all.

I agree with Tricia Devereaux.

This issue about producers abusing female talent first started boiling up in the 1990s with Max Hardcore's product. I remember a friend who was going to enter the industry. She first talked to Jim South Sr. and she told him that she did not want to work with Max Hardcore--ever. So what happens next--my friend gets a call from Max Hardcore, and he tells her that he can help her career take off, and that he wants to work with her first. So my friend calls LA Direct Models and Derek tells her in substance that Jim South always lets Max Hardcore have first shot at any new talent. Fortunately for my friend, I had known about Max Hardcore since 1998. I remember his voice on the speakerphone--oh, he talked a good story about making my friend a star. She was very polite to him--and he called back numerous times.

What's needed is a website that is available to new talent considering entering the adult industry. It could be structured like any FAQ. It will list the producers and companies who respect women--like Evil Angel, Vivid, Wicked, and those that don't respect women. New talent is the lifeblood of the industry. If they can be reached, they can avoid the low-life women hater/producers.

80% of the performers working in 2009 will be women that have not even entered this business yet--so they can still be reached.

The website will discuss the various talent agencies--for instance, new talent considering World Modeling will be made aware that Jim South gives Max Hardcore first shot; that Derek at LA Direct expects talent to work hard and he will insult you--he'll tell you're boyfriend to get a job--that he is a real boss (many girls entering adult don't want to be bossed); that Lighthouse and Gold Star are some of the best agencies, along with LA Direct (if you can stand having someone ordering you around) and a few others.

Advise them the best way to obtain a contract and to go straight to the best companies, meet them at the conventions, and don't oversaturate yourself.

And female talent will have a place to speak out against those producers who try to blacklist them by posting at pornstar performance and here.

Escorts have a national database they can report bad "johns" to. The adult industry might benefit from a similar bad producer listing--if these guys are going to consider the new girls whores, then why not consider them johns, and put them in their place?

I think Luke and Gene and Mike South will link to the new site if it's done right. So watch out all you producers who disrespect the beautiful women in the adult industry--the new talent entering the business will be made aware of you before they do their first scene.

I met her at the convention in Vegas at the Sex-z pictures booth. I have no problem with any woman that wants to refer to herself as a whore--it's the ugly little men that use the word and are mean about it--like Jim Powers.
They can use the word all they want, I hope though that the female talent starts standing up for themselves more and by refusing to work with these producers, the producers will cool it. Stormy Daniels won't let anyone refer to her as a whore, will she? Or Tera Patrick? Or Jenna back in the day?

And what about the male talent like Christian here in this thread--Christian, are you a whore then? Would you work for a producer that degraded you and called you a worthless dumb whore to your face? Hell no, and they'd be afraid to say that to your face--but they aren't afraid to say this to women. No producer is calling Tommy Gunn a whore to his face. So that says something about these little men doing this--they aren't afraid to abuse women.

It's a touchy subject but I can't imagine too many porn performers have a problem with the word "whore". At least not in the context of a fantasy sex scene where they are portraying themselves as such. Most porn is not meant to be interpreted as real life. I can't remember the last time an ordinary situation turned into an orgy in less than a minute. Maybe I just need different friends? People pay for porn because it depicts situations which are not at all common in reality. Fantasies. Most men fantasize about "whores". Not because they believe that word is derogatory. Because that's what we actually want but we know it isn't realistic.

Now if someone calls a woman a name she doesn't like in RL and they're serious about it, I can see her getting upset.

If women in the business don't mind being called it then I was wrong. I forgot that adult entertainment is fantasy and it's one of the last places where people can still be politically incorrect so I'll drop it. I think a website that educates new talent is a good thing so I'll work on that, since I've had three women email me asking about how to get into adult business the best way. This way I can help some new ladies out, and if they want to be called whore, the new site will show them who to work for.

At escort boards and after knowing escorts, they hate the w word more than anything. Somehow the adult performers who like to be called whore must not think of themselves as a prostitute, when the consensus among some, like Mark Kulkis, is that they are prostitutes. I respect women so it doesn't matter to me if they are or not. They are all beautiful.

Steve you are right of course but I should have made it clear I was referring to Tera and the others today, in the now, and maybe those titles came out when Tera Patrick was new and she's on record as saying she mismanaged her career when she was new, and I don't think she knew what the title was going to be, you producers can shoot a performer and edit her scene and call the dvd anything you want. Any good agent would want to know what the title was going to be before his client agreed to appear, but porn agents are essentially just escort agency owners, who don't care much about their client's career.

In mainstream the actors don't have to worry since mainstream companies aren't going to try to offend anyone with titles of movies--but something like this is being discussed in the Porn News forum thread already about the nappy headed ho title Kulkis used, how the AA online community is trying to get organized to stop the release, and how those AA performers didn't know they were appearing in what to most AAs is a dvd with a racist title, so I'll drop it here.

IMHO maybe some female talent (Hanna Harper, who said in 2003 she liked being called a "whore" in her scenes) might think it means something different than what I believe the men who throw the word around mean by it--here is an example of how I think most of the men using the word are expressing themselves--in a mean-spirted, I'm better than you way--see the link:

Link to Mean-Spirited Way Most Men Use the Word Whore to Degrade a Woman

I certainly don't mind being called a whore, although I can't help but laugh when I am since I hardly fit the description. Depending on the circumstance it often more reflects the puritanical outlook of the person saying it than the lifestyle of the person to which it is directed.

I totally agree with what imak wrote:
I personally call myself a male whore. Others refer to me as a dildo with a heartbeat.

Making and watching porn is fantasy land. We play out dirty fantasies. Mia Rose for instance is such a sweet young girl. But in porn I want her to be the ass licking, cum drinking whore. And in fact she really is both. That makes her such great performer and colleague.

If I ever get the chance to make love to you I will certainly call you a whore.

Ladies and Gentlemen

I have a brilliant solutoin to this double standard. We should demand every male producer who calls porn dolls slut and whores to equally call male performers pigs and dogs. IN this way it will clear up the confusion in the context whore is used. Tiffany Granath from Night calls constantly calls her male caller pigs. We should adopt this terminonlogy throughout the adult industry.

I propose that the name pornstud that refers to male peformers to be changed to porn pig. I also propose every single male performer to be called a pig equal to her female counterpart. Please support me in this very important movement.

Thanks Rams for pointing out this very essential difference. Since I am a black guy and I am very decent about knowing the traditions of black culture. Let me teach some of you non-whites a black culture lesson.

Hip hop artist use the word "nigga" in reference to black people. it is very different than the word "nigger" used by mostly white people to insult black people. Please note the difference.

BTW RAms have you seen Zafira videos on Hot Legs and Feet? If you have not, I think you should check it out!
