I have some amateur content that has never been made public and am looking to find companies/websites to sell it to. I am looking at going the non-exclusive rights path.
4 sex scenes - all over 40 minutes
3 POV sex scenes - all over 40 minutes
1 POV bj scene - over 30 minutes
5 solo scenes - all over 20 minutes
everything is unedited + there are pics.
I am looking at selling the package $1,000.
Anyone know of any place that buys amateur content with non-exclusive rights? Homegrown and those places all want content, but must be exclusive and they dont really pay that much - use to sell to them. I am not longer making content and thought that with my last go, I would try the non-exclusive way.
Anyway, thanks for any help.
-----Looks like more has been added to the package and it will be online for viewing samples and downloading/paying.

Why not set up a website and sell it yourself?

Well, since I am no longer producing content...would kinda be a waste. Plus, right now, I have no money to put into anything.

I have subscribed to websites with stale content which hadn't been updated in months/years, just to collect whatever content they had. Not everyone is addicted to updates; if the content is unique, it doesn't matter about new upcoming content. But that's just me. I can understand if you are not interested in getting into the website business; but I don't think you should let the "no updates" be your prime reason.

If I were buying this content, I would have some questions. I realize that you have sold before, but laws have recently been made more strict.
1. Do you have 2257 paperwork? That consists of a driver license/state ID/passport with age printed on it, a second paper proving that the talent can legally work in the US (passport, birth certificate, INS paperwork). Usually a polaroid of the model is also here.
2. Do you have what is commonly called a "model release"? This paper is signed by the talent specifically allowing you to sell the videos.
3. Is the content something that could be considered obscene? This includes incest, pissing, shitting, rape, underage porn (age 17 or under)?
Also, I hope you reported the pay you gave the models to the IRS at the end of the year and sent 1099's out. If not, both you and the models could be in big trouble if the IRS got hold of the movies. That means you better have their social security numbers and tax paperwork in your files (this would NOT be sent to the buyer, all you send to the buyer is COPIES of 2257 paperwork and model release along with the actual videos. You must keep the originals in perpetuity)!
If this is all in the affirmative, then you may consider selling the content. Otherwise, don't even consider it!

I have all the 2257 paperwork, model release forms, & no - just regular sex. I have all my paperwork in order.
-I also have the models holding up their IDs and making a video statement saying that they know they are being filmed for me and they state the date and all that :D

That was a theoretical remark, but police agencies do sometimes view pornos to check for obscenity. If they wanted (and they have in the past), they could involve the IRS in their investigations to produce additional charges. I believe Ginger Lynn was a victim of this type of investigation in the early 1990's.

I know you're here looking for buyers of your scenes, but while you're here, can you tell us a little about your experiences as a producer? It seems like you produced content and sold it to amateur studios like Homegrown (and others??) and then decided to set up your own website. What was it like finding girls? Actually filming? Selling content? Addressing legal issues? How was the sex? What were some of your challenges? What should you have done differently? Comments on Homegrown and other amateur studios and why you decided to make the move to your own site? Just curious. Thanks

Well, I never set up a real adult site, I only setup a recruiting site. As far as finding women, I did a lot of craigslist postings for most of them and once I had worked with some women, word of mouth was good. They tend to know a lot of other women that are into it.
Filming was great - I have always been really into movies - mainstream & porn - and have been watching porn since I was like 15 (25 now). As far as selling content, that has been one of the hardest parts of the business - not selling it, but getting any real money from it. The other hard part has been finding guys (I know right?) to be in the films, women are easy to find.
Legal issues - I did all my own research, did it for about a year off and on before I ever started.
Sex - well, I did do some POV stuff and I did enjoy that, but I guess it opened me up to a whole different kind of people I wasnt use to being around. Some really strange people and some really cool people. But yeah, sex is a nice part of the business.
When I first went into business, I started just making content for Homegrown - I had read their requirements and thought - hey, I can do that. Well, they dont pay as well as I would really like - Im not putting them down, they are really nice people and was a great place for me to start and to learn. Looking back however, I should have either started out making a DVD or went non-exclusive and made money by selling to websites. I did end up speaking with the head of Zero Tolerance and almost had a deal with them, but that didnt work out. It all happened too soon from the time I started for me to really be able to do what he wanted - couldnt get enough women fast enough. It would have been pretty good money - really good compared to what I was use to making from my content.
If you are looking at getting into the business of making content - spend as much money as you can on your camera. Go either into making non-exclusive content or make your own DVD and try to get it selling. Models really dont cost very much compared to everything else - but, they arent free either. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD LIGHTING. It doesnt have to be high priced. I was using clip on work lights from walmart :D But they worked just fine for what I was doing.
When I first got started, I started with about $4,000. Amateur production is the #1 selling content around right now, but there is a ton of it...

Akira. If you can't sell these and finally decide to go the exclusive route then we might be interested over here at Home Made Media. But it has to be exclusive. Good luck to you!

Akira, please don't treat our forum like a classified. I removed your "for sale" threads. Also, be careful with the company you chose. They stiffed us in the past.
