I really don't know if it's the best or most complete site from which to download good, clean freeware but it's just a habit for me. Another good one I've gone to (but has decline a little lately) is BetaNews/FileForum. Lastly, SoftPedia is huge and has shitloads. FileHippo is small, but I like their organization. [Link]

So I think I would like to give Arch Linux a shot. I'm impressed with how easy it was to read their web page and they seem to have all of my desired software in their package lists. [Link]
