| djpickone Deactivated User NYC-Cali 12 Posts 10/03 | I am debating on which camera is the best, of course 3 chips are the shit and ever since the advent of digital video technology it has made it alot easier for one to shoot a movie without having to process film I think these are some of the top digital cams 1. Panasonic AG DVX100 (can't front the 24 frame feature is the shit, and I hear that George Lucas actually used a modified version of this cam to film Star Wars) 2. Sony PD150 (Jules uses this) 3. Sony VX2000 (Van Styles uses this) 4. Canon XL1 (major beef is that you can't play canon tapes on sony cameras and it doesn't come with a screen to view) 5. Canon GL2 what the fuck do you think? | Percy Walker Member 108 Posts 9/03 | From what I heard the camera on Star Wars was a Panavision/Sony mix with a large cable going to a refrigerator sized box holding the hard drives storing the frames. And the inside word was the picture quality was nowhere as good as film. And someone was fired for saying as much (plus some other stuff.) But the Panasonic still is a good camera. Percy |
