Nothing bothers me more than ordering a title from an online store only to find that it is on back order.
Some sites list whether the title is "in stock" or "on order", I have heard that sometimes these sites either lie about it being in stock, or their system is not very good at keeping track of titles that are in stock or on order. Can somebody recommend any sites to me that state whether a title is in stock or not, and what is the best site for the accuracy in which they claim a title is in stock.

Thanks.

I think Adult DVD Explorer is one of the best. I have seen their warehouse and it's huge, tons of titles in stock.

I don't think that answers the question. The size of one's warehouse and the quantity of titles on the shelf doesn't necessarily imply an accurate inventory count.

I am in contact with many of the stores represented in our price search on a regular basis. I know most of their order processing systems fairly well. Based on this knowledge I would trust the stock status of Adult DVD Empire, Five Star, DVD Exotic and Adult DVD Now for accuracy. Why? Because their fulfillment and affiliate tracking systems were designed in-house and are tightly integrated with their respective web sites. Other stores may have similar capabilities but with external/third party inventory and fulfillment programs. That implies that there is some type of import/export function happening at a periodic interval to update inventory counts. (I know that many stores update inventory status only once per day.) I may be leaving out some stores that have real-time 98+% accurate inventory but that's only due to my lack of knowledge of their internal systems. To get the best answers I think we need to hear from shoppers that have placed multiple orders from multiple stores over a period of a few months.

On a different note, if you were to inquire about the delivery estimates for titles that are out of stock I wouldn't believe any stores estimates. They typically make a blanket statement that calls for out of stock titles to "ususally ship within X - Y days". It's impossible to make such statements with an accuracy. It's not their fault though. The vast majority of adult studios are abysmal from an operations standpoint. Many of them have no idea how many pieces they should have on the shelf.
