LiveGonzo.com is definitely my most missed website, i missed tuning in weekly and interacting with my favourite pornstars on set where you can ask them questions about anything, shame Raul Cristian retired, LiveGonzo had a sense of realism due to it being unscripted with human emotions attached to it no scripts pure porn in its rawest form, it ran from 2010-2014, arguably best period for me as a fan, it was a truly heartbreaking and upsetting once Raul decided to retire as LiveGonzo was unmatched at the time, wish he had a successor or something to continue his brilliant work.

Actually, the topic title does suggest the defunct sites in general, but yes I was more specific in discussing the idea of favorites. There certainly must be a lot of "trailing edge" sites, now defunct, that were an important early part of a pornstar's career.
I had trouble finding much information in the forums about the fact of vanishing web porn and the idea that you may never see that favorite scene again. Hence, the topic. Thanks.

Talking about LiveGonzo i spoke to Raul Cristian recently during this month, he said a return to the industry isn't entirely out the question, amongst many other things.

Before Decembers purge PH had something like 500,000 amateurs regularly posting content. Every 24 hours there would be a fresh new 100+ videos to scroll through. My ex and I put some content on there like 7 years ago, was fun to revisit. All gone now
If I take a broad interpretation of the topic here then I can add in two of my favourite sites - Amateur Allure and Swallow Salon. They aren't dead, but they haven't come roaring back after COVID either. There have been some new scenes, but a majority of the weekly updates on AA has been remasters of older scenes and on SS they've been AA scenes. I really hope they get back to regular shooting sometime this year. When it's safe to do so, of course.

The glorious glory days of Sarah (Benta)! There are some remastered scenes of her at 1080p floating around that originated at those websites. Not sure how they managed to generate such high-quality videos years later.
There are DVDs related to these sites produced by Cherry Vision.

MidnightProwl. Again, the believability, this time of a porn star picking up random guys and fucking them.
FuckedHard18 and Massagegirls18. Especially loved the latter, for it brought back real-life memories.
Manojob -- Really like the scenes where the girl put it in for just a little but before resuming the HJ.
There was this gangbang site called 15on1.com. I had a screencap from one of their videos in an old Word document and I spent a few hours trying to find out if there was a DVD version out there somewhere and I was shocked to find out that they've completely vanished. Actually a lot of the sites that I was into back then (circa 2005) are gone.

I am the OP of this topic. Your word "vanished" is perfect, as in "without a trace." Very unexpected.
To compensate, I have been searching through sites that sell older adult DVDs, "new" and used.
I have had almost no success in getting in touch with those who ran the defunct sites.
Also there does not seem to be, in my experience at least, as much in-bound traffic of used DVDs as might be expected.
Ebay is soon to fully close its adult-items only section. So the saying "It's Now or Never" could be true once again.
This site, though, ADT, does have some good used offerings from individuals.
She had a good asslicking vid with Katja Kassin. I really wish I could see it again! I remember there was a site called ten.com I think. I remember they had one specific really good closeup lesbian asslicking film.

Good points, snufish. I recently purchased a now-rare DVD called Mom's Anal Adventure 1, released by BangBros. The site itself, according to a recent review, still offers the videos at only 240p. The DVD includes the scene that at the site is called Deep Anal Fun, and the DVD version (Kelly 32) looks spectacular compared to the web version. The scenes were produced in 2002, and the DVD was released in 2003.
The home page looks like a relic. The videos have not been updated since 2003.
Just think of how many old sentimental favorites are somewhere sitting around in their original 480p glory, and all we usually have are the same old 240p versions.
To speak in a more generic sense, I miss any defunct website that had a scene of a favorite star whose scene I did not know existed until after the site itself was gone.
It is also really sad when an adult site, without notifying anyone, permanently removes a bunch of its older scenes.
So instead of saying, "I miss Brazzers," you say, "I miss Brazzers 2010."
We can condemn ebay for deciding to remove the adult-only section, but at least we had a chance to gather some goodies after the announcement.
