That said the directors need a big grindhouse round of applause: Jay Sin EL TEA Alex DeVoe Tim Von Swine Lee G. and yes, BPumper(with his dimwitted azz). The stuff going on BTS with Richard Mann, Flower Tucci portend a really hot 2010. Prince Yashua hasn't gotten his props for very cooly pulling alongside the biggest guns in the male talent arena. Of course no one makes any real noise of a recent comeback: Wesley Pipes. My personal faves that I couldn't get enough of: Anita Blue Olga Cabaeva and Vannah Sterling. Dia Zerva is pretty hot too. Nuclear-fueled scenes like the ones with El Tea and Kylie Ireland, Olga and BPumper, Bobbi and Dana getting gang banged and Rayveness and Tyla w/Domineko and CJ were hard to come by.
^ Ramsey, I must say your comments about Kristina Rose have given me pause for thought. I genuinely didn't know, and now I'm finding myself musing over the Slutwoman title. Goddamit. Doesn't mean I don't still love her performances, though, I'm just, I dunno, disappointed or something.

Kristina not only looked amazing... but the chemistry in each one of her scenes was special in its own way... especially the Manuel coming out of the shadows... Fuckin Sweetness!! She did a great job with this Movie and Title... There are sooo many girls who did new things and excelled at them... I always put on for the girls who get down and DIRTY!!! Sasha was already up there before this year but i think the biggest riser this year was Kristina Rose. Alexis Texas was nearly up at the top as well before this year and has risen right to the top as well. So I would say Sasha, Tori Black, Jenna Haze and Alexis owned this year with Kristina the biggest riser. I would love to see Phoenix Marie do the next Buttwoman. She has got the body and the perfomances to carry it off. The previous two Buttwomen Alexis and Brianna I thought did a great job in Are maybe the first black woman to do Buttwoman.

The odd thing about the whole IR issue is that I thought Kristina was biracial. I can't explain why I thought that, I guess it's because her beauty is so exotic, that you can't imagine that she is just white, Hispanic or Aian but rather the perfect blend of ethnic DNA. Either way who cares if she does or doesn't do IR. Respect her freedom of choice.

I vote for Tori Black not only because she has had an amazing year, but I personally like her the best. She seems so nice and real especially with her interviews and behind the scenes footage. She is so sweet and so nasty.

Alexis Texas and Tori Black hands down. They won awards, got important magazine covers and rocked a ton of scenes. I cant flip 2 pages of AVN mag without seeing them. If I had to choose, Id choose Texas.
Both Kristina Rose and Tori Black are at the top 2 spots of my list, and I hope both of 'em win a bunch of awards this season. But for POTY honors, I believe the edge goes to Kristina. More than any other performer this year, she displays an insane amount of lust during her scenes, looking like she's being reborn every time a cock slides home into that ass. Plus, I would love to see that acceptance speech. As for other potential noms, I feel obliged to redeem my gross error in judgement around this time last year. Jessica Drake turned in a slew of incredible performances, one after another. I may have dissed her last time, but I honestly don't feel the same way this year. Yeah, she was at #89, I believe. Should have been much higher, same with Tori Black. I'm not naming names, but there were some people in that Top Ten who shouldn't have been there, in my opinion, based on 2009 work.

In fairness to Genesis, I don't think that's their customer base. For the casual porn consumer, their list may be very relevant. To me, just taking a quick look at the top ten, some of those women haven't been hot since 2001, and some never have. But there's name recognition involved. A porn Q rating, if you will. I really can't argue against Sasha Grey as #1, even if she wouldn't be my personal choice. Much like her AVN Performer of the Year win, where I would have given it to Brianna Love, Sasha still was a very credible winner. I do think they've over hyped the impact and critical raves of her Girlfriend Experience, but that's what they do. Their list and this thread really have nothing to do with each other. It's kind of like arguing about the relative greatness of musical groups and pointing out that Abba sold more records than the Beatles. And people who feel they're really, really into music would summarily dismiss them both and name some obscurity who "never got their due". Polls like this can be fun, but sometimes it's best to just enjoy what you enjoy, and not worry about what others think. BTW, I still think it was Bobbi Starr. Who else conquered three continents?
Kristina fucking Rose. She's gone from being a great under the radar performer to being a full on star. I don't think there's a girl around right now that encapsulates dirtiness, cuteness, and genuine performances as much as she does.
I have to vote for Kristina Rose. I just recently got back into buying/watching porn and she totally blew me away with her looks, personality, and performances.
