You think adult industry are the last outlaws?

Every sub-society ,sub-culture or so called "fringe" group has been co-opted by mainstream corporations and then re sold to the joe average American consumer in a sanitized version.

You think porn still has it's outlaw image?

No, it has become pretty mainstream over the years I would say and obviously more socially acceptable like sex has.

nope. porn will always shock certain sensibilities, but it's a world of difference now from what it was 30 years ago. especially with the internet

personally i think it's a glory time for porn. the kind of girls getting into the biz and their openness about it, it seems unprecedented

Well I think we are getting a sanitized version myself. But I think its getting better or worse I’m not sure. LoL

I’ve been thinking about this myself. Looking back at the decades of legal porn. After the Supreme Court ruled porn was a form of freedom of expression and they’re fore legal.

The 70’s and early 80’s all the porn I saw was in old rundown movie houses. There were no restrictions on porn. Porn producers were a small group and regulated themselves. Porn was really tame. Very little interracial, very little anal, and most cum shots on the tits or ass.

But they did explore incest, there were a lot of incest theme movies, little girl themes too (sometimes the porn star would be 40 yrs old but played a little girl none the less) And there was bestiality was also shown in public theaters. (very, very bad European short clips)
That is what I saw in Houston, Texas during that time frame.

Late 80’s and 90’s brought VCR’s and government regulations. Porn expanded into interracial and anal the girl got prettier too. The government stopped the incest theme movies, bestiality and Max Hardcore from having his girls say they were 12 yr old. They also stopped scat and piss but I never saw that anyway.

2000’s under 6 yr of total conservative control of all three branches of government. It seems porn has exploded. Porn producers pushing further than ever.

It does make you wonder where it will go when we get back to a liberal supreme court.

DtotheJ and R. Jordan I now think your both right.

Absolutely not. With the self-policing that goes on terms of healthcare testing, 2257 records, permits, etc., Adult is remarkably mainstream.

I look back at certain of my former mainstream Direct-To-Video clients who couldn't/wouldn't keep accurate model releases or file for shooting permits if they're life depended on it, and I can tell you that the world of low-budget indie filmmaking is far more outlaw in concept and execution than anything going on in porn.
