If you mean the woman speaking from behind the camera, that's Mason. The director/owner of HardX.

^ Pretty sure Mason is not the owner of HardX, that would be Gamma Entertainment.
As to OP's second question, Mason has never appeared in front of the camera let alone been a full-blown performer in a scene.

^ Yeah, I hesitated at writing "owner." She is more than simply a hired director though isn't she? Founder?

^ They based the entire brand around her, so the site definitely wouldn't exist without her. It's just always been interesting to me that arguably the greatest director of gonzo has never owned her own product in the way that say, Jules Jordan does. Same goes for William H. Even during the Elegant Angel days, when they put that company on top of the market, they were just hired guns.

If we want to get technical, Mason hasn't just never appeared in front of the camera in her movies, I'm fairly sure she hasn't appeared in front of any camera in over a decade. As in there aren't really any pictures of her out there, I believe, outside of one appearance at AVN/AEE a long time ago where she covered herself up a whole lot.
And I'd say that the most likely reasons Mason doesn't have a Jules-level empire are that she may not want to have to deal with the day-to-day business aspects of that (like, say, the specifics of DVD distribution) and focus specifically on the content, and partly that by the time Mason became as well known as she is now, we'd entered the recession, so the money just wasn't there for a director to start their own company like that from scratch.

Interestingly enough, her IAFD page has a picture. Although I've never been too confident that it was really her.
