OK, I don't think anyone in the last week or so asked this obvious question. What proportion of women who are porn performers are also strippers? That of course means the big feature dancers. The two trades seem to be closely linked. Also, what proportion of women in porn got into the biz without exotic dancing experience? lordish

Most have no feature dancing experience - most never will have any. Quite a few were once house dancers. Feature dancing requires a level of dependability that most aspiring porn models never achieve. Very few porn actresses become feature performers for that very reason. They would have to practice, show up on time, honor contracts, tough out bad gigs, and develop some kind of business sense. There's money to be made on the feature circuit, but work is required as well. Check my site's strip club schedules for the porn performers who dance. About a quarter of them started as features. Ahh don't worry about it. Your fans would probably turn out in droves to see you typing your resume. There are a lot of courses and exercise programs availible in the LA area to learn how to strip. I presume you've already taken one? lordish

i have been a housedancer for years, mainly for HUSTLER PARIS, and i still dance there a few weeks of and on. But from february i will start for the club from PRIVATE and dance there most weekends.
Out of 13 girls (that I can think of off of the top of my head) that are from my area that are or were in porn, at least 9 are or were strippers. Stripping can come before, during, and / or after porn. The correlation may or may not be higher than the nationwide or universal correlation because there are so many strip clubs in the Tampa Bay area. On the one hand, more girls strip from my area because there are so many strip clubs where they can work. On the other hand, girls in porn may come disproportionately from areas of the country where there are many strip clubs. Penny Flame's been feature dancing quite a bit recently, probably more than she's been making movies. I'm a bit surprised that girls make more money through a bit of dancing than a sex scene. Based on what I've heard about British strip clubs I didn't think they paid that well. I guess if you're a well known name among perverts then you're going to get a lot more than some unknown stripper chick.
I danced for about 5 years before doing porn. I'm actually supposed to start featuring sometime this month. Yay!!! I miss it
