haha, dumb dome or confused law for claiming Traci Lords was a child 1 day before her 18th birthday but became an adult 24 hours later at precisely 18 years to the split second. Ask all the porn stars when she was 17 if she was still a child, they all noticed she fully physically matured into a woman due to completion of puberty. ^I'm not exactly sure where you are going with all your post but I'll make it simple. The current law is that you have to be 18 years old to legally do porn. The law doesn't care that you matured early and that you have been sexually active since you were 13. All the law cares about is that you shot your first porn video on your 18th birthday. I don't think a 17 years old is any less mature than an 18years but then again I don't consider most 18 years old to be mature. It has been my observation that todays teens appear to mature at a much later date than my generation did.
I'm guessing you're pretty young. I'm 27 and most people under 20 seem like kids to me. It's not about how much younger they are than you. It's the way they think/act. Puberty doesn't make you mature, it just makes you think you are. I wonder how many women would do porn if they had to wait until they were 25, or at least 21. I bet most 18 and 19 year old girls get into porn because of immaturity.

What surprise me there aren't enough of 18 and 19 girls being filmed in the adult film industry. Back in the late 90's and early 2000's they were a making dozens of them a month in dvd format and internet. I guess that goes to show you that pircacy and ecomony has something to do with not many being filmed. You can be 18 and 19 and not look so hot and still make lots of videos. I concur. I don't think I need to intellectualize it -I just like jerking my dick to teens getting fucked. It's great to watch all age and experience types getting fucked, but when I watch an 18 yo do DAP and drink piss in an LP scene, I just think it's so wild and taboo and now a permanent artifact on the internet at the start of a hopefully long career.I'm not so sure. Increasingly you hear of performers entering the industry from pretty staid backgrounds -but the addendum to that is that they're also entering the industry a little older now too, more like 23 than 18, so they've had time to get things in order before making the decision.

Regardless of the reason, none of them are good. It's a fact the brain continues to mature and change throughout the mid to late 20s, with the prefrontal cortex (responsible for decision-making, etc) being one of the last areas to fully develop. Anyone who's under 21 (and I'm sure some over 21) are just being taken advantage of (in my opinion).
It's one thing to have sex with someone this age but it's another thing entirely to put something out there on 'film' that will follow her the rest of her life. At that age they can't look ahead to next week in their lives, let alone 10-15-20-30 years.
Fwiw, I have a family member who did porn and nothing good ever came from it, only problems and a difficult life with no lasting relationships. She was of my parents generation and I did not find out until my early twenties. I'm just glad and can take some small solace that she was able to consider herself part of my family the last 20 years or so of her life.
I think there are various of issues why 18 and 19 years old get into the business.
1. It's financial due to the job market 2. Explore their sexuality in a safe space or environment 3. Make a name for themselves 4. Due to family or relationship issues 5. Influence by another female performers 6. Star power with being a content creator then the next step being a porn performer.
