then they were during the 1970's and early 1980's?? YOu had a "handfull" of good looking women in porn back then.

Now, damn near every girl in the XXX sex biz is gorgous.

Explain???

Jenna Jameson...

Britney Spears....Christina Aguilera...

There are lots of broad generalizations that can answer your question.

Also, it's just not pornstars who "look much better" today than they used to. My oldest brother, 30, joked with me last year that he wished that when he was growing up the girls he knew looked like the girls do now. I've even had men in that age area say similar things to me when I was working as a video store clerk. They'd be like, "Damn, I don't want to feel like a pervert or something. I mean I have a daughter of my own now. But I can't help but look at all these 18-year-olds and college girls and notice how sexy they look." See what I am getting at? It's an issue larger than just porn. But then accepting my assertion that most women in my age area (18-24) that flow into porn are more attractive than they used to be then why do so many of them go into porn? Surely, they realize that they are hot enough to model and if they do go into porn surely they are smart enough to realize that they are sexy enough to be in high class adult magazines. Well, this is where the generalization of "Jenna Jameson" comes in. VH1 did a documentary on this, exploring the life of adult pin-ups and many people in it said that the new girls who come in have no interest in being a model or even an actress. They just want to be the "next Jenna". It's the whole "it's cool to like porn now" mentality. Then again, you could look at it from a generational/sociological standpoint and assert that the current generation is not as committed to hard work as ones that preceded them. This has been a trend or misconception since WWII. So, for an attractive girl looking to pay her way through college it is a lot more lucrative to just go into porn than get a job as a waitress or something.

Again, these are broad generalizations that minimalize a whole generation and also the actual work that is involved with doing porn. They can be argued both ways. Porn is more acceptable now than it used to be. Look at successful softcore porn (they are basically softcore) mags like Stuff and Maxim. Girls are more attractive now than they used to be, whether it be because of the influence of skin-bearing women like Britney Spears or not. And Jenna Jameson is a huge star. "Why can't I be like her?"

That all said I agree that it seems all girls in mainstream porn today are gorgeous. I, myself, am constantly perplexed at the Euroside of it where every single fucking girl is 1 hex hotter than Jenna Jameson or Tera Patrick or any our "sacred contract girls" (except for Devinn Lane). However, I think too many of them who enter the biz are just ignorant to the true nature of the beast.

Your asking a simple qustion that requires a big answer. I think the real best people to answer this will be the girls and guys who have worked in the biz for a long time and frequent ADT. Those people that have been in it since well before Jenna was even around would have probably the most informed and valuable opinion. Any insider's opinion would probably be better thanmine though. I'm just looking at it from what I think could be the possible answers someone might give you.

I'm at a loss??? What am I missing here? Is it because, now unlike during the 1970's, sex sells more in today's world??

Or what????

Porn is much more established and has been around long enough that younger girls know all about it. Hell, I'd bet that a very large percentage of today's crop of performers saw their dad's porn collection! Not too mention the increasing acceptance of blowjobs as a means of social intercourse (no pun intended).

Of course, all of this is good for us, the porn viewers!

Let's just hope Ashcroft's replacement leaves the industry alone for 4 years.

Even Peter North said that both the male & female pornstars today are much better looking then when he started out.

So why is that I ask????

Let me break down the history of "the woman". I think it has to do with three things:

1. In the 60's-70's and early 80's there was still a stigma associated with women working, showing too much skin...that carried over from the 50's utopian/puritan idealogical based psychological norm found in such shows as the Brady Bunch, Leave it to Beaver, and other mind numbingly retarted shows.

2. Now that women have come into their own, with more opportunities and flexibility in how their viewed, they developed a stigma that to be a woman, means to look good, to essentially represent what beauty is. Which I don't think was so much the case in the 60s-70s and early 80's. This propelled from the invention of panty hose and women shaving their legs and television and magazines telling women how to think and other things feminists hate, has caused this change over time. You can see this getting more intense as women get more plastic surgery than ever to look like some famous star on tv. Color there hair, having tons of clothes and shoes, etc. So really it has also a lot to do with who these women are trying to imitate or who's in the spotlight during a particular decade. Britney Spears or Madonna.

3. With more and more women trying to represent beauty and all things good and more and more "independent" women being forced into the working world, they are picking bad jobs. Think about how many beautiful women you've met who work at places where they can't be making more than say $10 an hour.

So you have a more independent woman taking on the role of representing beauty, who come to realize the harsh realities of not making that much money, who chase other guys who don't make that much money and end up in poverty. More beautiful women scraping the barrel for a quarter equals more beautiful women in porn.

At the risk of repeating something that's already been said because I didn't bother to read the other posts ahead of mine I'd say

1.) Our own personal definition of "beauty" factors in a lot. I found many pornstars back in the day to be just as pretty if not moreso than the stars today. Today there just happens to be more of them. I can't say any era is any more attractive than the other. That'd be a disservice and an outright untruth to say that only ugly people did porn before today. One thing I hate hearing is "she's too good looking to be in porn." Oooh, that boils my blood...what does that EVEN MEAN?

2.) Porn is more mainstream than it was in the '70s and '80s, so we have a whole generation of young girls who not only growing up watching porn and want to be pornstars but who actually follow through and do it because it is less frowned upon than the outlaw days of yesteryear. You turn on your televsion and see the Wicked, JKP and Vivid contract girls and "pornstar" seems like a perfectly acceptable career path. It wasn't always this way.

I really doubt it's due to the fact that a lot of young girls are growing up wanting to be porn stars.

If anything they want the power to have men do anything they want. Which may lead them to stripping where they can easily make just as much money as a pornstar. Supposably Jenna J. was making around 2k a night stripping. The average hot stripper makes probably $400+ on a good night. Knocking out 2-3 lapdances per guy easily in around 10 minutes.

But I don't think a Double Anal Creampie scene with Lexington Steele and Mango is what they are thinking about while they are growing up. hahaha

There're a couple of reasons this could be.

First, it is possible that the idea of pornstars being hotter today than they were yesterday is just not true. To make this comparison, you have to be able to see both time periods through the eyes of the times. Let me explain this if I can figure out how. To rate the relative attractiveness of women & men THEN, you have to have the sensibilities of those times, and likewise for the present. You can't compare one time period to the other because things were just different then, people saw others differently. Do you think it's possible that people of the late seventies would look at the girls of 2000 and beyond and fiond them less attractive? Of course that's possible. Likely? Maybe, maybe not. What you actually have to do is take some representative people from this period and go back in time. Then convene a group of voters to compare the "looks" of then vs the "looks" of now.

Or

It could be genetics. It is natural for any species to procreate with survival of said species in "mind." And, it is obvious that attractive people have more sex than unattractive people. So, isn't it likely that when two attractive people mate, an attractive offspring will be the result? Exceptions aside, this seems logical to me in the long run of billions of births in the past 25 or so years. There's also the idea of survival. Can anyone dispute the concept that attractive people have less obstacles to face? I don't mean psycholgical, I mean societal. People will open their doors for the likes of Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt (for lack of better examples), but won't even acknowledge the existence of Quasimoto and the Elephant Man.

Just thoughts...

Yeah, I'm not saying that, in the "world" there are better looking women today then in the 70's and 80's.

I'm just saying that, in total, sooooooooooooooooooooo many more good looking women in porn today then back then.

I'm not the only one saying this...Peter North said it amoung other people.

I think it must be that porn is more "established" and more tailored to individual.

When I was in my teens (early 90's...but I watched many 70's & 80's porn) I used to wish the following:

Boy, I wish there was an all blowjob porn line.

Boy, I wish there was an all cum swallowing line.

Boy, wouldn't it be GREAT if 100+ guys could cum all over a gorgous woman.

Now, the above is reality (bj lines, cum swallowing lines, bukkake, etc).

So, I give creedence to that theory and agree with it.

I think that's a good point regarding the views of two different eras. And I wouldn't dispute the fact that beautiful people have it much easier.

But you have to ask yourself, why are there so many beautiful girls who work at random places that pay under $10 an hour? Next time you go to Wal-Mart, the grocery store, some clothing store, or anyplace that sells something, look around and you'll see that beautiful women are growing on trees there more than usual.

One, because they are assumed to sell more, get hired more often, therefore apply more with anticipation of getting hired. And two, because where else will they work?

As we move from an industrial world to a service world and service jobs pay a lot less but are more abundant, more and more women are making less and less and getting more and more desperate to do something big with their lives.

Quick cash from stripping, usually leads to believed quick cash from porn.

If anything, you can consider Strip Clubs as the breeding ground for pornstars. The more strip clubs, the more porn stars you'll see. The more you see, the more variety, the more you find attractive.

I agree Rocco.

I think it's just a fact that more women find porn "acceptable" today...hence, more agencies have a better selection of girls, hence, better looking pornstars in the movies.

I wonder too, then, what possess girls to go "beyond the norm porn" into the realm of "fan pleasing" (i.e. anal scenes, DP scenes, cum swallowing, bukkake, etc).

Do the girls who are not only in porn, but do the above do it:

1. For pleasure

2. For the demand of fans (knowing that they will be a flash in the pan if they don't do more "fantasy" elements as above)

3. For the experience.

I would say # 2, but I have yet to see Jenna Jameson do bukkake or a 12 man cum swallow scene.

I don't know if I would want to compare the beautiful talent of today with those of the 70's and 80's and say which group is better looking.

First, there weren't too many people who wanted be considered "stars" of the industry in those years. Not only was there a social stigma, but back then it was flat-out illegal to MAKE such videos. You didn't have women brazenly wear shirts that said "Porn Star" on them or even considering about making it into some kind of long-time profession.

Second, I don't know if I would want to consider some of today's stars as "better looking". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this reviewer kind of likes the more natural look that some of those earlier stars of yesterday had.

I think the greatest change is the modern trend to been clean shaven in the pubic area. Hell, even the male performers all shave their balls and asses now.

Can't believe now how all the women then had thick hairy pubic bushes that totally covered the pussies yet growing up then in the late 80s, I still remember what a thrill it was to catch a glimpse of some girls pubic hair. How times change.

Sounds like someone entirely missed the point of what I was trying to say, though Rocco (sorta) and MD James basically agree with what I wrote in my first post.
That's simply flat-out false. Many do. But many are also ignorant of what the job actually entails (the double anal creampies with Lexington Steele and Mandingo) or the inherent dangers (STD's) that come with it and only see the glamorous side. When they turn on E! and see Jenna Jameson hob-nobbing with various legitimate mainstream celebs, living in a lavish home and driving expensive cars, you're damn right they have no idea of what they may be in for. They don't understand that Jenna's case is certainly the exception and not the rule. They're too young and naive to see otherwise.

Only seeing that side of the coin causes a lot more girls today to think that porn is acceptable and fuels their subsequent entry into it as opposed to the old negative stigma that used to be attached to porn and the "I'm too good for porn" maxim. Mainstream media today shows us (and a lot of impressionable young girls) that no one is too good for adult entertainment. Not only that but they show us that it's acceptable and if you get big enough, you'll be accepted into even more elite social circles. It's a bad example to set (and a false one) but if you don't actually watch or follow porn and only hear what you know from Howard Stern, that's what you'll think.

Then there is a sect that grow up as fans of hardcore, see that and WANT to do that. A good majority of the gonzo girls we love so much today will willingly admit to being fans of stars as current as Belladonna and cite them as major influences on their current career path. Regardless of how true it is, how many times have you heard a girl in an interview say, "I just love sex. Might as well get paid for it."?

And this whole "well, even Peter North said it!" thing really bothers me, too. I understand that he's worked in the business MY entire life damn near, that's Peter North's opinion and Peter North doesn't speak for me, the adult industry as a whole or any other individual or group in the world.

I don't think that having more sex automatically evolves into having more offspring. I have the feeling that couples that are rather ugly are more likely to produce children because they don't expect that much of life.

Let me explain... It's been 10 years now since I finished school, and I can't help noticing that the people in my class who have started a family by now are the ones that were considered rather ugly and not cool in school. It almost seems that they used the first opportunity to marry and have children, fearing that there may be no more opportunities to come. The in-crowd people, however, may have had more sex in between, but most of the time haven't produced any offspring. Maybe they are just enjoying themselves and have enough confidence to postpone that stage of their life until later on.

Does that make any sense? I know it's over-generalized, but I hope that there's a good idea at the core.

Just to respond to the thread's topic:
I think that being a pornstar has become more acceptable, so the choice is made a lot easier for pretty girls who are willing to go into the business. You're just not that much of a persona non grata anymore if you're doing porn. Plus there are more positive role models nowadays.

I always hope that the liberal attitude towards porn continues and that some of the girls don't regret their choice one day. They are doing a lot more to keep society sane than is acknowledged by most people.

Anyway, as this has become a long reply and English isn't my native tongue, I'm exhausted now. Let me know if you agree / disagree on this.

I don't think that pornstars look prettier nowadays.

We are accustomed to the beauty-ideals of today, so if we watch a movie, TV-series or porn of the past we only think some women - the "real" stunners - were beautiful, while the "average"-looking women do not fit nowadays tastes, because of haircut, makeup, clothing, etc.
They, however, were also rated beautiful in the respective era/decade the movie was made.

If you watch a 2004-movie in 2040 you will also think that there were less beautiful women, just like as you now think that in the seventies or eighties there were less beautiful women.

Do you ever noticed that with a Jules Jordan production they can make any girl look good? Seriously, I found some of the woman pretty hot, but when I saw them in other movies they were just so-so. I won't name any names, because that's not nice. I don't think i've seen any truly ugly woman in any recent Jules Jordan titles luckily. Not so bad they make me cringe.

With a few other companies I keep having to hit the skip button. That's within a few seconds too. Of course, i'm into "different looking" woman. The more "unique" ones. I'd pass up Teagan for someone like Dana Vespoli any day.

this generation has grown up with Cosmopolitan teaching them how to be hot whores from age 12 or whenever they start reading that crap. all over the world there's an equivalent magazine to bring women up to speed on makeup application, haircare, and specific cocksucking instructions. Millions of young ladies are using that blueprint to empower themselves to be walking cockdreams. And surgery is available now for whatever ails you. The wonders of bulemia have worked their way into the national consciousness. We're benefiting from a diet crazed culture, and though most of us can't stay on a diet, some are good at keeping trim by not eating cheese, etc., as proved by the naked people. There's more info available on how to stay healthy. And there's less stigma now about fucking hard for an audience, so it's attracting the attractive. So there's a full platter of reasons why.

But could that be partly due to the fact of what you see them doing nowdays? You see a girl nowdays doing things like12 men gangbangs and double anals and maybe sub consciously your mind is thinking what a dirty slut she is. You would still fuck her because of the things she does but say that hers looks wouldn't attract you as much as girls in the past who didn't do such extreme acts because it leaves much more to your own imagination and fantasies.

In total, there are soooooooooooooo many more women working in porn today, good looking or otherwise. Even if the percentage of women who are really good looking was the same as back then, there would be a larger number of good looking women than there were back then.

In the early days of porn, making a porn film wasn't cheap. There weren't many movies being made. After the explosion of home video, not only did porn become more mainstream and acceptable, but it also required more performers.

Interesting observation.

Since I watch more features/artcore I recently watched a few gonzos to have a more objective basis for my usual anti-gonzo rants.

First, many women in gonzos are not presented in a "good light".
Second, just because someone is about 20 and does not suffer from obesitas, does not make him/her beautiful.
Third, if I look at my [ invalid url ] of all time favourites, there aren't too many contemporary or new actresses (actresses who started 2000 or later).

The rampaging sex has killed off most of the sexy. Today's performers look better on average in still photos, but once the action starts they're more like shock absorbers than performers. Little opportunity exists for them to be sexy.

I was watching Ben English trying to do interviews as if he was interested in who the girls were as people, and it was funny because he'd pause in between questions with this look on his face that said "I'm a jackhammer. Can't we just get to the hammering?"

Sometimes I think the past performers were more interesting characters who were choosing to be in porn to explore their sleazy side, so you felt lucky to see it, but today lots of the girls in the post AIDS scare era don't seem to have any other side than the sleazy side, as if they've always been on the "porn track" and took the appropriate classes in high school before playing minor league ball in the stripclubs and working their way up into the AA league (double anal). So their answers to the question "How did you decide to get into porn?" aren't as riveting.

I think that it is indeed not true, insofar as it is possible to make a judgement about something so dependent on personal preferences. There have always been a limited number of ultra gorgeous women in porn, along with a more average rank and file. I think this is still the case.

For example - and I don't to intend to 'dis' anyone - based on my own personal preferences, if I look at Raquel Darrian, Hyapatia Lee, and (French-Vietnamese) Solange, to mention some of my favourites, I still think they look every bit as good as current porn girls.

It may be that the relative proportion of serious hotties has increased somewhat; and I am sure the absolute number of gorgeous girls has increased, but that's because the biz is so much bigger now.
In my perception, there was a big breakthrough when the Cold War ended and porn labels, Private in particular, started to explore the huge supply of pretty girls with limited economic prospects in Eastern Europe. Girls who would have had plenty of alternatives in Western Europe or the US found it a convenient way out, and this raised the standard for the rest of the biz.

While I agree with the underlying idea, this has been the case for as long as humans have existed. With the low procreation rate of humans, I seriously doubt whether this effect would lead to visible results in the time of a mere generation.

lol.not only are todays women more prettier but they start developing body wise at a younger age and sometimes it is hard to tell just how old a woman is and another thing great about todays pornstars is that you have shaved pussies compared to the golden age when it was considered taboo for a woman to have a shaved pussy...dont see how the male talent back then was able to go down on a woman with those huge bushes on the women cant stand a furry pussy myself cuz it is pure hell getting a hair caught in your throat..lol

the women themselves look better because of fitness, money and makeup. Some women used to use makeup almost as a disguise.

There are more women because of more strip clubs, less stigma, less criminal enforcement, talent scouts reaching into poorer countries and finding more "desperate" women.

I'm not convinced that they are more beautiful today. I remember the lovely girls in "Debbie does Dallas" and "Charm School".

Traci Lords, Annette Haven and Nikki Charm were all gorgeous.

Most of today's porn stars are truly beautiful women, but there have been others before them.

Better looking perhaps but I think the starts of the 80's looked more classy, not like the regular pornstar. I mean Annette Heaven is the perfect example of that.

The important reason why there are more better looking girls now also is because of the euro-pornstars who were not around much in the 80's.

I think that should the divine Greta Garbo been transplanted into today, and then should she allow us to dress her up (or the reverse), and apply whatever warpaint we prefer nowadays, then she might enliven some of the malcontent dead wood here and there.

Why are pornstars much better looking today ....

They're not. I've seen some of the stuff from the late seventies and early eighties, and on the whole I'd prefer the more natural looking girl next door types that they had then. If anything, the girls these days look worse, because unlike back then most girls now insist on covering themselves in defacing tats.

This is a very interesting and thought provoking subject.
I can say one thing, if porn and the quality of women in porn was stuck in the 80's, I would've lost interest long ago. The women ARE better looking and more clarity and categorization has been brought to sex acts/fetishes.

Strip Clubs are most certaintly a breeding ground for girls who see porn as a way of working less and making more, but not all girls start in strip clubs - some jump right into porn at an early age.

What I find astounding (as some have pointed out earlier) is that many of the girls don't know what they're jumping into because they don't even study the in's-and-out's of porn before they leap. Many have barely even seen recent porno tapes before they make the decision to sell themselves - crossing their fingers and hoping for the best. Somehow I think that if half these girls knew exactly what was in store for them they'd give it a good hard second thought. But I suppose it's in the best interest of male porn viewers like myself that they remain naive and ignorant because otherwise we wouldn't see soo many young hot airheaded babes leading a life of debauchery day after day.

Now, if we could only move society to a place where your average girl off the street is open to just about anything that you see in adult film nowadays, I'd be a happy man.
Seems like there is still a fine line with women in what they will and will not do in bed...unless of course they're compensated for it in some way. Why is it that women are either a slut to the whole world or not a slut at all? I need me a private slut, just for me.

I think it was dear Walter who posted this link a while back. There have always been plenty of gorgeous women, I think there used to be more variety in the way women looked in porn, but like anything if your attention is directed, you'll notice what you're looking for more often...in the market for a red car? You'll see thousands of red cars, got a thing for blondes, you'll see blondes all over the place.

I've been watching porn since the softcore era of the 1960s, and I think that the level of pornstar beauty has continually risen. There were some pretty pornstars in every era. For example, my favorite from the early 1970s was Crystal Lake, a girl who is never mentioned by posters here.

I think that there are three factors that made a big difference in the appearance quality of pornstars: the advent of Shauna Grant, the expansion of opportunities for porn girls to leverage their pornstar fame into other sex-related work, and drugs.

Shauna Grant was the most beautiful porn teen ever when she started doing porn. Immediately after her entry into porn, there was a sharp rise in the number of really gorgeous porn chicks. My surmise is that girls saw her in porn and thought that they could do it, too. Her sad demise not withstanding, she was the standard setter for slender teen blondes in her era.

Until recently, supplemental income was more restricted to stripping and posing for magazines. Some girls whored, but the development of pornstar escort sites and pornstar websites really expanded the income opportunities for girls. The escort sites provide an organizational support for whoring and make escort tours feasible. The income possibilities from pornstar websites are too obvious to discuss. So, a pretty girl does some really outrageous sex in some gonzo dvds, and that gives her a powerful commercial identity which can be expoited by her in a number of ways for years to come.

Drugs have blasted away inhibitions for many girls, making porn a more acceptable choice.

The Jenna effect catalyzed a fair number of the better looking girls, but it's been a long time since "private parts" and in the last year or so I'd say the girls are showing signs of regression. The press hasn't been great between the Bella special, HIV outbreak, and the fact it's not the late 90's anymore. Smart girls find out they get shot out in under a year and the industry is all-anal and increasingly violent.

The girls are younger, which sells, but save for simony I'm not sure many of them are more than hot and young. look at facial structure and cheekbones, most hot girls today don't have a huge potential to be beautiful as they age. teagan will still be attractive at 28, but consider janine at 28 as someone who is more than ephemerally pretty. there were a lot more women over 20 with great looks in from 1998-2000ish and they had longer careers and were able to build some name recognition---look at the makeup of all of the tgp galleries and you realize most of today's girls do have photos available but they don't even get their names listed. people go by studios. specific acts, or typically male directors more and more since there's a good uniform level of attractiveness for girls, but few standouts. ashley blue worked what she'd do rather how she looks like to be one of the more recognizable names right now. she's not without merit, but she's not gorgeous and i'm not able to picture her looking remarkable as she gets closer to 30 than 20. chasey lain doesn't exist right now.

I don't think that is true personally. Nancy Suiter and Bridget Bardot were hot as well back in the day. I just think there are more women willing to do porn nowadays, that is why it seems like they are more beautiful.

Back in the early days of porn only a handful of women were doing porn. Many of them were really hot. Lisa Deleeuw, Vanessa Del Rio, Ginger Lynn, Traci Lords (underage but still hot), Candida Royalle, and many others back in the 70's.

There were lots in the 80's. Jamie Summers (a personal fave), Racquel Darrian, Deidre Holland, Heather Hunter, and many others.

There have always been plenty of pretty girls in porn. The only reason girls look better on film is because production values have went up. You get these girls from the earlier era with the same production values of today and they would look just as good.

Production values such as make-up, camera work, lighting, and such have improved. The women have almost always looked good.

There seem to me to be a lot of beautiful East European women in porn, so I guess the political liberalisation of that region together with comparatively low incomes thereabouts has something to do with it.

I think we sometimes confuse better looking with hot. Because if you look at the pornstars today a high percentage of them are hot in the way they do nastier porn scenes. But in reality most of them are not that great looking. Take Venus for example, as nasty and dirty as they come. But has anybody taken a real good look at her. let's just say (to be kind) I would not call her beautiful. Here's another one Chole (not that she is brand new, but more current) without being made up with the hair, etc. She is not that desirable. My all time favorite example is Tera Patrick - she looks like Charles Barkley in a wig. LOL but seriously... Girls today are dressing hotter so we judge them on more parts of their bodies. But their faces will always be the same compared to yesteryear.

Hell Maxim, Stuff, FHM, are loaded with overrated women who are heavily airbrushed, and dressed so sluty compared to what we are used to seeing in their other environments TV, Movies, etc. Thats why when we pick up these mags we are like "Holy Shit, did you see so and so in that mag" Meanwhile with the few exceptions they look nothing like that in any other venues. A strange example (don't ask me why I was just thinking of her) but Renee Russo has done over six covers for Cosmopolitan Magazine (and thats just one mag she's been on) that are not only sexier and more beautiful than any Britney Spears cover, but the fact that she is completely covered up. Except for a little cleavage here and there. Years ago women (celebrities) for the most part did not partake in these types of layouts. They were in classier photo shoots for the most part. Just ask Cheryl Ladd for example.

Shit, these sluts today in Maxim, FHM, etc.. have nothing on her.

Don't get me wrong I love the porn today, But lets be real on what are eyes are actually seeing.

SURGERY: I think it is largely to do w/ the fact many women are addicted to plastic surgery more now than in the 70's and 80's porn. And the lighting they use now can manipulate alot. Some videos Nacho looks 40 and horrible, others he looks like he is 35 and has a super hot face.
I still think Samantha strong (who seemed to dislike her business) was VERY beautiful.
I also think Jenna jameson looked hotter in a nasty way before all her facial surgeries. Now she looks like every other pretty blond. Pretty but bland. Samantha strong was stunning in most of her videos. And Janine in her day, you can tell was BORN w/ those features -- not manufactured.

I agree. Cheryl Ladd and all the girls on Charles angels looked surgery free and were BEAUTIFUL. What we put on a pedestal nowadays is pathetic (me included) w/ the perfect make up, colored contacts (regretful lip injection) I too, look so "hot" by today's standards. they didn't need all that in the 80's....

In my post above, I overlooked a point made by several posters: plastic surgery is now both available to almost any girl and so developed that it can imporove many aspects of a girl's appearance. Personally, I like the results: I love fake tits (especially fake-looking tits), and collagen always makes an improvement.

Fanatical female beauty quests, such as plastic surgery addiction and doing blow and heavy smoking to lose weight, are wonderfully common these days, and porn fans are very fortunate beneficiaries.

To answer initial question:
I look around me. I see all beautiful women. Almost every young girl here looks beautiful or at least doing everything to look the best she can.
Everybody now wants to look good & perfect.
Its not only the trend but it also helps in life, searching for a partner, in work. Everywhere.

And finally its more nice to look at a good looking ppl than on ugly one.

Where do you live, if I look around the ratio of thick/fat/obese people is constantly rising.

E.g., the bus I had to take during the last years had two stations in the vicinity of "high schools" and I was astonished how many thick teenagers there are.
When I remember the 80ies, when I went to school, we had probably three or four "thick" persons out of 90 teenagers. And these people were "thick by build".
But now it is I guess 30%, and they are not "thick by build", it is pure fat, with no muscles underneath.
I am also not talking about baby-fat or a few pounds too much, real thick teenagers.
Guess what they will look like when they become adults in their 30ies!

here's another one. Aurora Snow. maybe its me but I just don't get her. I recently saw on H. Stern. I would walk right past her on the street, without even a glace. Don't get me wrong she does great sex scenes. but not a big fan of her looks. That what she does, she makes up for it in the nasty department.

Jesse Jane another one (I know I will receive flak for this) just don't get her. has a wierd look to her. Trys very very hard to look like she looks. Works for high producton companies,(they can handle all the correct make-up artists and lighting to help) She looks like Mena Suvari but worse. And I don't like Mena Suvari.

and lastly the newest "nasty girl" in the biz. Gia Paloma holy crap where do I begin.

Again high energy sex scenes and a 10 on the nasty factor, but on the looks .......... well??????????????????
