Frankly, "jumping" right in to the "sucnfuc" in gonzo genre films, after filming a few minutes of some porn star wiggling around--dancing??-- has never got me "going and cumming," as much as a strong vignette (story line/plot) before the "in and out."
That is the reason, I have always prefered the feature film concept over gonzo, which over the years has sucked away creativity in porn like some giant parasite.
BUT, that does not HAVE to be the case, IF gonzo directors would only realize that they could have it ALL with just a little bit more effort and imagination (creativity) setting-up the "sexing," which all of us want to see, with "tease seduction" scenarios, sexy female character enhancement and more male/female "interaction before the action."
Your thoughts??

My thoughts are you should look for vignettes with gonzo style sex as it looks like you have been getting all sex movies with gonzo style sex.

In my opinion gonzo is all about the sex. I would also prefer a bit of teasing during the beginning of the scene. I think the majority of the gonzo viewers is not very interested in a story line or plot. If they were interested they would watch a feature sex film instead.

I do look for gonzo style flms with vignette story lines, but just how can one tell if a particular gonzo incorporates such scenarios??-I know I can't.
The MILF gonzo theme approach offers the best chance, since there is usually a bit of "tease" seduction leading in to the "sucnfuc" (or at least there should be) but even then, there is no guarantee.
There is little doubt that most of the posters to ADT prefer gonzo, and that is FINE, but why can't a gonzo offer BOTH strong sexual action and a brief story line build-up??--thus, the best of both.
As far as one of the posters writing I should just look for features, if some plot is what I want, I DO search for features first, but since only about one out of every twenty adult films produced today is a feature, this would eliminate considerably my porn watching--something, I don't want.
Call me "old fashioned," but I will always hold "steam stream" film production up to the same standards as main stream Hollywood with the exception of production costs, of course.
Thus, I want to see some directorial creativity, crisp cinematography, sexy SMOKING (figuratively and literally) female character portrayals and something the main stream can never offer, HOT explicit sex, in BOTH feature and gonzo porn productions.
Is that asking too much? I say NO!

The problem for me is that the sex in today's feature films is not as "real" or heated as in the gonzo movies - I don't watch much gonzo, but I do like Elegant Angel. If I understand the OP correctly, he is wanting gonzo style sex in a feature narrative or some kind of plotline. If EA would make features, that would be the best of both worlds for me.
I am still holding out (probably in vain) for a current porn film to model itself on the older features - making the sex feel spontaneous and fun, and firmly rooted in the film. Watching some of the classics, the sex feels so seamless, I really miss that in current features.

I seems to me that many of the gonzo producers think like this, or believe the viewers think like this. So much so, that even the opening "tease" is often treated as garbage throwaway content and is done in a botched half-assed rush-job over-edited way, if at all.

By it's nature, gonzo style is hard to incorporate into a feature movie. The only one that comes to mind that blends the two is The Adventures of Buttman.

^'The Fashionistas' does the trick of having some awesome gonzo-style fucking incorporated into the best feature-format porn movie I've seen. Obviously, loads of other people agreed at the time, hence the lavish amount of rewards it got.
Otherwise from what I've seen, 'Pirates 2' (haven't seen the first) has good shagging in it... It's edited down in the feature, but the full length gonzo-style scenes are available on a separate disc, so you get both options.
'Brazzers' brand of gonzo, usually has some scenario/setup before going into the action... That's quite nice...
Haven't seen it (only aware of cast and format), but things along the lines of 'I Wanna Bang Your Sister' from Third Degree Films are heavy on scenario as back-up/spice to the sexual goings-on.

I think I know what you're talking about.
I remember someone called it giving the sex a "foundation". the scene develops the characters, a relationship, and a motivation. this provides some meaning to the sex instead of just having the sex unrelated to anything.
Speaking for myself, the sex is what I watch porn for but I find the sex .... well, sexier, if it has a foundation.
Features just by their nature usually provide a foundation to their sex scene. But not always. I think we can all remember a scene in a feature that just has a couple fucking without any explanation. And I bet we have all seen where the lead in for a sex scene doesn't make any sense.
and again, just speaking for myself, I don't appreciate wading through 10 minutes of plot and story and then the foundation is provided in just 10 seconds.
I think vignette scenes are usually the best at establishing foundation. Unfortunately these are so repetitive and cliched they are barely worth watching. although it sometimes works to a bad movies advantage. No matter how badly scripted or acted, we understand the foundation as soon as the pool cleaner, failing student, or personal trainer shows up.
Lastly, I'm going to take this opportunity to ask if anyone understands what GirlFriends Films is up to. I can think of a number of examples but let's just use Women Seeking Women 47. the lead-in for the scenes are something like 10 minutes long. the girls chat most of the time. In Alexandra and Jana's scene they actually discuss World Literature. then they just fall into bed with each other. What's the point of that?

I don't remember either of these being gonzo. If this is what is being looked for then the OP isn't looking for gonzo scenes.

No, they're not gonzo. My understanding is that the OP wants gonzo-style sex in features/storyline based productions.
'Fashionistas' has long, intense sex scenes more in common with gonzo than features, and as I mentioned, 'Pirates 2' has extended gonzo versions of the scenes from the movie on a separate disc, minus the storyline.
I thought this was clear in my earlier post...

^ This is what I thought the OP wanted too. I agree with your suggestions, even if I hated Pirates 2.
I would also like to recommend Evil Angel's Pure, released this year.

Depending on who one asks, that is basically about where it started actually. I thought John made it look easy, although I now know it wasn't. Well I suppose one could argue there was very little story involved, but I thought he pulled it off. It's not a new concept though.

If most gonzo porn were a different kind of product, it would be something like a paper cup. It's just barely serviceable and you're lucky if you get one use out of it. It's just that homogeneous and pedestrian.

It's more fun to make a movie that emphasizes one thing, like POV or gonzo or foot fetish or _____ . Because you can usually nail that one thing, you know? It's more of a chore to try for a complete product. And I guess the reward isn't there for such extra effort. The movie makes about the same return whether or not you put extra editing hours into it or spend on extra filming days to get things right. So nobody does that.
From what I remember of the vignette era, big portions of each script were just there to make the talent feel like they were actors. Now, this may have been a good thing in the sense that it occasionally seduced some classy folks into having sex in front of a camera so they could live the Hollywood dream of being an actress. Who knows. But for the home viewer, there were only a few key lines in each movie that had anything to do with causing a viewer erection. And lots of times, these lines were hot only because the actress chose that line as the moment to make her sex pitch. So I'd probably be happy with a compromise of just showing such key moments and not the entire vignette. You know, like a cliff's notes version of the context and then just the "fulcrum moment" upon which the seduction turns. You know, the sexy part of the talkie-talkie.
Another way movies could easily be more complete is by blending softcore views in with all the hardcore "ass-bouncing". I don't know why movies feel the need to prove they're XXX by showing the penetration every moment instead of going for balanced coverage. Why are movie makers so gung ho to show us as little as they can? What we get is a lot of that "RC lean back" view of implants, which is the least desirable angle to view fake breasts from, and aside from that we see very anonymous sex--you don't see enough of what the woman looks like, just a bunch of penetration views that are indistinguishable from other XXX. (How's that for a possible reason porn is losing revenue? Once I've got one movie that shows only penetration, what's my incentive to buy another that'd show me nothing new?) The way your product stands out is by showing more. A more complete scene gets remembered! But no, it's like all context is being removed---not just the vignettes are gone, but also the woman's body itself is disappearing from these movies and replaced with lots of ass-bouncing. The woman's body not being fully shown is but one more way in which the sex is being stripped of all context. Meaningless. I was watching some softcore porn the other day and the shots were sooooooo much better of her from the front while on top. It really is idiocy not to blend this kind of footage in to hardcore movies. Talk about Instant improvement in jerkability.
