^ As noted earlier in this thread, I like tats and have tats. But, they are hardly the be-all of beauty. I think the most narrow-minded view so far expressed in this thread is this line from a few posts above:

The comments were invited by a tattooed performer. Read the first sentence in the first post in the thread.

I've stated this before, but I will again, here............ to me, the tattoo has but one purpose, to accentuate the beauty of a woman's body, and when the tattoo, not the body, becomes the main point of attention, the effect is completely "lost."
Thus, a tattoo should be relatively small and in an obscure area of a woman's body, such as the lower ankle, the top of the tail bone, or the back of the neck----If I had to pick one example of the sexiest, and most appealing tattoos on a woman, it would be the "ink" on Julia Ann.
It goes without saying that ANY tattoo on a man's body is "laughable."

Porn with tattoos:
1/10th of the time it's enjoyable
4/10th of the time it's ok.
5/10th of the time it's blugh.
When one of my favorite actresses covers herself up in tattoos, it's usually a big turn-off.
It does feel like they're inking their way out of the business on purpose.

Tats to me are a real turn off, male or female.
I think you'll find, by a healthy margin, those that get tats have issues like mental health and emotional ones.
Normal, healthy, well adjusted, educated people, generally speaking do not get them.

........riiight, but when you sing the stereotype song you may not wanna forget certain parts of the lyrics like normal, healthy, well adjusted people free of mental or emotional issues (whatever tiny percentage of the population they are) aren't supposed to enjoy hardcore pornography either as it is filthy or demeaning to god or to women, take your pick really.

Let me give my opinion:
1- It's all about what the majority of society wants. Majority beats minority, and that's how it works. Now that doesn't mean that majority is always right, but means that since they have the numbers, they win.
You need to please the majority to have a career on any aspect of life. It's rare to see somebody breaking the model of something already established, unless they do something ground breaking and revolutionary, and those moments, happen very few on history. It's important to learn to play by the rules and adapt yourself to better be in a society. Those who break the rules are usually looked as weird and get isolated from others. "Be original, be yourself" it's a cool logo, but very few people in this world follow it.
2- Tattoos have never always been seen as artistic sign. During a good amount of time it has always been seen as rebellious sign, specially at young people. It also has always been seen as something a man would do.
You can say, that is a way to distinguish yourself from other people and in a certain way is art. However that's not how society see it. Be honest, too many tattoos on a girl make you think what? Most people will think: she is gay, she is from a gang, she serve time, basically you think the person is a delinquent. Very few look and see as art.
3- Porn is base mainly on looks. There is a lot of performers that are not the most gorgeous, but have amazing performances. True, there is also other that have the looks but not the performance that succeed too.
This is all speculation, since i am not in the business, but i assume that it's all about pleasing the audience, and giving what the market want, so they can generate money. Most man want a woman with no, to very few tattoos, and if that what the MAJORITY wants, they will do.
Words of wisdom by The Douchebag.

Agreed, one of the few correlations found in people who get extensive tattoo work is a tendency to internalize pain.

I have a number of tats. I am a retired college mathematics teacher. I am very healthy, aside from lower back problems that are currently flaring up, I seem to be mentally stable, and ... I don't know if I am normal, but am about as ordinary as you can get. My wife is also a retired teacher and is a wonderfully good, respectable, caring, downright amazing person in just about every way imaginable; she also has tats. Are we just outliers in your imagined spectrum of tatted people, or perhaps a sign that tattoos have become far more mainstream than they were a generation ago?

It would be nice then if "fellow posters" also treated the performer's with the same respect unlike some of the people here making judgments on their mental health and personal life. Double standards, no? I was merely supporting the performer's they were slandering. I don't get why that is so wrong.

^ It's not double standards, and you'll see all over this board that I make great efforts to support performers.
But it's one thing to say, in general, "people who do blah blah blah are xxxxx".
It's another thing to say "you're a fucking idiot."
See the difference?
BTW I'm on your side on this debate, I think some of the posters in this thread have been painting with very broad brush strokes and making conclusions based on little if any data.

When I posted above that "it goes without saying, any tattoo on a man's body is laughable," I forgot one important distinction, and that is the well-earned military tattoos, such as the Marine Corps Emblem, or the United States Navy "Anchor," which rests on the arms and bodies of so many of our GREAT current and former fighting men today.
I spent 20 years in the Corps, and served with many truly fine, courageous men who did wear tattoos, depicting their Marine and Navy service, and I honor them for their service and pride in their respective military affiliations, including those Army and Air Force, who also chose to "show," that patriotism, and love for their units, and country.

^ I don't get it, why is it only ok for men who work in the military to wear pride tattoos? Can docs get like a caduceus tattoo if they mend a lot of broken legs? If you gotta kill someone to earn a tat does that mean single tear prison tattoos are ok?
Your exception to your own rule seems pretty arbitrary.

I personally don't have tattoos, never wanted, never will. When i watch a porno i do notice that some woman have tattoos and for me tattoo is about the right size and place. Some woman have lot tattoos and others have few. I personally fell that a woman with a cool tattoo on the lower back, neck, leg, arm, is pretty damn fucking HOT!!! However when she is soo full with tattoos, like some pornstars are (which i will not gonna say names) i gotta say that is a real turn off. Remember this is only my opinion.
I saw youre pictures Leya and you look gorgeous. May the best fall upon you and you have a wonderfull carrer.

Nice pics, I agree.
In professional fields, like business or media, people often hide their tattoos during an interview or at work because of the judgment that follow for having body art. Socially it's okay but business wise it is not. I guess some porn studios follow this business etiquette of shooting ladies with no tattoos or smaller, few tattoos.

I gotta say that I find tattoos on girls a real turn on! Gimme a Christy Mack or Jynx Maze anytime, though I know Jynx not got as many as Christy but still she is hot as hell. Just make them look a hell of a lot filthier in my opinion. Which is a good thing of course!

I do respect all sort of tastes but tattoos "is not my cup of tea". If just a small one it is Ok but those with a, for instance, full arm tattooed is a turn off to me. Some piercings maybe fine if in the right flesh spot.

A short explanation on why I dislike most tattoos:
I really like plain naked skin very much. Even when the skin of older women starts to get a bit bumpy and spotty its like a good whiskey that gathers more and more character in taste as it gets older.
Most tattoos however don't look good from a far angel like in full body shots, unless they are big tribals or graphics that stretch large areas and become part of the body design as a whole. Smaller tattoos can not really be fully recognized from afar as they are made to be looked at from a much shorter distance.
So even the most artistic and beautiful tattoos end up looking just like A VERY BIG LIVER SPOT or something like that most of the time unless it is a very common and simple shape like a heart or a cross. But why would you want to put such a simple design like in a bumper sticker onto beautiful plain skin in the first place?
THAT is the thing i dislike about most tattoos. They look like something that was sticked on instead of becoming part of the whole body design and bringing out the beauty of the female body even more.
A good example is Bonnie Rotten. Unfortunately I dislike most of her tattoos but I very much like the spider webs around her nipples. Now if she had decided to make that spider web the theme for all of the tattoos... maybe tattooed stockings that look like spider webs, a big spider on her back hanging from her hair... hell, even add big skelly bones on her arms as full sleeves to add to this morbid theme... now THIS would look HOT AS HELL in my opinion. The tattoo artist would have to be top notch I guess to really make it shine.

Tats to me are a big turnoff I can not stand them why is it that now all females that drop a good amount each month have at least one big ugly that?? All new girls getting into porn either have a lot of tats or in 6 to 8 months and getting into the biz they get tats. Tats have never been attractive and they never will porn directors please find some really hot girls without tats. Tats and condoms might be the 2 biggest turnoff in straight porn

Odd that people feel so strongly about it. I wouldn't really say they're a turn on or a turn off for me. I guess I like the fact that they add a bit more color and distinctiveness.

I think that for the vast majority of porn viewers tattoos on the girls are totally subjective, meaning that there are some you like and some you don't. There are a few porn viewers that hate 'em all, as you can see in this thread, but I think most viewers either like 'em or don't really mind 'em. That's how I am, where there are plenty of tats that girls have that I really like, there are also examples that come to mind where I think to myself: "This girl's really hot, but I wish she didn't have that tat(s)."
Whatever your preference, I think it goes without saying that pornstars are going to continue getting "inked," that this isn't some fad that's gonna end anytime soon. Look no further than the fact that this year's "Female Performer of the Year" at the AVN Awards was Bonnie Rotten; I'm a huge fan, by the way.

I think the message some of us would like to send it that men find women beautiful the way they are, tattoos are not necessary, nor are piercings, weird hairstyles or implants. These things can be distracting when watching a porno. You dont need to be "trendy" a good performance is much more important. That being said, if someone wants to do these things, thats their choice, I can choose to buy their movies or not. I really wish there was a study or poll out there to prove whether or not tattoos affects a girls popularity or earning potential one way or the other

It really doesnt matter as for every Bonnie Rotten and Tori Avano you have Mia malkova znd Remy la Croix. Its not like theres a shortage of untattooed women. Especially with all these new girl threads popping up with unmarked women
And again it all comes down to preference.

Small and not too many (max 3) tatoos are no big deal. But large and/or many tatoos is ugly.
Porn is so much flocked by over-tatooed and over-pierced actresses that it's not even funny. It became very difficult to find a woman without at least 5 tatooes and 3 piercings in a porn movie and it realy ruins it. Especialy when located on erotic parts...
