Performers could be even safer by abstaining from sex. You shouldn't impart falsehoods that condoms prevent STDs. They only reduce the chance of transmitting or contracting them. Likewise, the 14-day testing system reduces the chances though admittedly perhaps not to the same degree.

I totally understand that condoms are the best way to prevent STI's, but testing works so long as nobody has unprotected sex outside of the set and their husbands/wives/partners. And a lot of performers dislike using them too, as Riograndeler showed.

I hope that one day a cure for all STI's can be found so that performers can have bareback sex without the risk of STI's.
