It seems that a lot of JM titles never get reviewed or are very late so I was curious. I always like to do a little research and gather some information before I grab a movie so I find it a little frustrating to never have any reviews for JM Productions. I'll do it if there's no willing reviewers? I understand a lot of their movies are terrible, trash and so on. I just hope that they can be reviewed and critiqued a little sooner. Here, let me help you with a review of all their movies. We degraded some women and we call it porn. The more degradation the better. Yes, most people are offended, but we don't care how much damage we do to the industry or to ourselves or the women we employ, We're JM! BTW, when they planted easter eggs in their movies, containing questionable material, and failed to tell the distributors, who were responsible for shipping out to the stores, was kind of the last straw. I have tried to watch several of their videos and find them ridiculous. I watched an installment of Tough Love and once you get past the domestic abuse angle, it's ridiculously silly. I don't find the American Bukkake or Gokkun videos erotic at all. I like Brandon Iron's stuff he distributes through them and an occasional offshoot title here and there, but otherwise I'm just not interested.

I agree with you about their videos, and I'm very much NOT into the domestic abuse. Now that I've said that, there is one video that is a very guilty pleasure for me. It's AB-12, with Holly Landers. I'm not sure exactly what does it for me, but when I really want to get off solo, I get that one out, crank up my eroscillator, and explode...and explode & explode.
I enjoyed some of their Liquid Gold series. They were friendly and fun movies, shot almost like BTS, with no violence or degradation. I'm sorry to hear that they behaved like assholes on other occasions.
Oh, I'm not into the domestic abuse angle either, but it intrigued me enough to view it, same as I was intrigued enough to view one installment each of Gokkun, Bukkake and Gag Factor. I didn't like any of them. I've seen an installement of Young And Anal a long time ago and that was alright.

I've never seen Gokkun,as I mentioned I have seen and do like AB-12, I saw 1 Gag Factor and 1 Irritable Bowel Syndrome video and that was about enough for me.
The Girlvert series is my favorite continuing series in all of porn. I don't like EVERY JM title, but there isn't a studio out there that I like EVERY title they make, and hell I work for 2 studios, so that tells you something. Ya know what...if the same number of people that hate on Jeff, would have turned that hatred on Leisure Time, FutureWorks, Maverick, Caballero and Sunshine Films, then we wouldn't have all been undersold by cheap ripoff comps, stores would still take New Releases and we wouldn't all be watching our profits go to shit. For as long as I've known Jeff and Sandy they have been nothing but great to me. Now if someone from Five Star wants to go on record and say that JM left 'em hanging, I'd be interested in hearing that. Jeff was represented by Louis Sirkin, and I don't think there's anyone in this industry I have more respect for than Louis. So you're telling me that Louis advised his client to leave 5star high-n-dry and not give a shit about them? I find that hard to believe. Jeff doesn't smile through his teeth at you, he's real, some people don't like those with abrasive personalities but at least he's not fake. alright, those movies are good, but the majority of their stuff is totally shit. they're the opposite of evil angel, whose stuff is mostly really good.

Bornyo, are you Jeff's fair haired boy? I've said Jules Jordan is overrated many times on here: his tease is good but his sex scenes are formulaic and uninspired, especially when he is in the sex scene, and I was never warned by any moderator for those criticisms. Why don't you ask Louis Sirkin and Jennifer Kinsley, the 2 best First Amendment attorneys this industry has. They defended Jeff, they defended Rob Black, and they are getting ready to defend Evil Angel. So if JM is so indefensible, then ask Tricia why John is going to use Louis representation. The answer is that Louis is the best in the business, and I'm sure he would have something to say about the "leave 'em high and dry" stance that some in this industry take, and what you claim they did to 5 Star. Of course, Louis being Louis, he'd say it much more tactful than I, and leave us all with a renewed sense of real patriotism, cuz that's the kinda badass mofo that he is.
I never really gave much thought to JM titles. I'm not all surprised that their movies would get put down here because some of you find fault with everything. I used to really like their WHITE TRASH WHORE series in the beginning. The main reason I don't buy or rent any new installments of the series is because they just haven't had girls starring in it that I want to see. I don't watch much of their stuff at all because they don't seem to have themes or girls I'm interested in seeing. But I can say the same thing about plenty of other studios.

Thanks for the answer. I always thought they were a bunch of pricks over there and their stuff is very extreme and over the top. It peaked my interest though, I don't know just my human curiousity always is active with beautiful women being degraded. I don't wish it upon them, I hope they enjoy it but I doubt it. Executives that work for Vivid do at least have the option of being able to defend themselves here. That said I try to stay out of the ADT/Steph & Drew vs. XPT/Jeff shit slinging for two reasons. One, being a member of both forums it would be hypocritical of me to say that either one are a piece of shit. Two, the whole concept of two adult entertainment internet forums going tooth and nail at each other seems somewhat ridiculous. It reminds me of a porn/internet version of Used Cars.
They also didn't pay their affiliates their last monies owed or even send out an email that the program was closing down. I think they took the plea deal out of panic, there was a news story last year where the owner of 5 star bashed FSC and some other companies saying that they did not offer him help.

But anyone saying that I should help that guy make money obviously has no idea how he has behaved. Nate - I'm not saying Jeff should have handled his case any differently. Just that he's not some kind of free speech hero as some like to portray him. And his behavior is the reason so many will stand behind John Stagliano and not Jeff Steward. Jules, yes Five Star left many of us hanging on the financial front. But I do not think JM offered any help until it was too late.

I think it was a little bit of both. The trial ruined them financially. Had the business not been found guilty I doubt they could have continued even if they wanted to. I also think that at that point in the whole ordeal they just might have not wanted to continue. It's not like they were getting filthy rich selling DVDs over the internet. The financial burden is one thing but the daily stress over two year's time dealing with lawyers, pretrial motions, investigators, the FBI and the very real possibility that they could end up in a Federal penitentiary surely has to take its toll on someone. Put yourself in the shoes of the owners and employees of Five Star. The government tried to force people like Ethan into a position where he was essentially testifying against Chris and Ken. From what I can tell it was Ethan's testimony that was critical in setting up the opportunity to make a deal where the charges against the two owners would be dropped. In exchange for the charges being dropped (which made it so Ken and Chris wouldn't have to do jail time) they agreed that if the business was ultimately found guilty the FiveStarDVD.com domain name would be forfeited.
