Most of us would like to bang a pornstar and have a video record of it.
I think if you had a modest ambition of covering your costs by dvd sales/downloads...you could, essentially, be fucking your favourite pornstars for free.
First attempts would inevitably be amateurish....but this would probably be your appeal in the market. The 'normal' guy who bangs well known pornstars.
As a newbie you'd need to a build up a reputation for being safe and reliable before being able to make most bookings.
If enough people wanted to see their favourite pornstars getting banged by the guy off the street, you may even turn over a little profit.

That's what POV series and amateur porn web sites are for! No reason some dude who isn't already in the business couldn't do this for themselves assuming that they weren't too creepy, ugly, or fat and they were willing to get their health tests and they had the money to pay the girls' rates.

I kind of did it, I'd like to think I did it better. But in all honesty what little money there was in porn was difficult to collect, margins were paper thin and just not worth the effort.
The margins on the net being massively superior, so thats where I directed my investments.
But then I wasnt doing it just to get laid. I wanted to make money.

Not sure what you yourself mean by Ed Powers thing but to me Ed Powers thing was to be really ugly and yet still get cute new girls to boink you on camera..in fact Ed's guests were not pornstars (mostly)
I think your phrase 'bang a pornstar and have a vid of it' leads me to a different question which is would porn star escorts offer souvenir vids of your experience...that would be kinda cool and wht the heck for $1000/hr you ought to get get a souvenir!

To Mike South...where does all the $$ go that we read about? Billions spent on porno and you guys are always crying poverty. I shot over 50 homemade flicks ( with swingers) and sold one through some company in Florida. This was before the internet, before digital, and before the mass "interest" in porno movies. We made money then, and that was back in 1989.

Ed managed to get girls who were just starting off in the industry. Loads went on to become big porno stars. Quite surprising to see how many well known pornstars have worked with Ed.
I wouldn't really be happy paying $1000 for a souvenir video. Better to hold the copyright yourself and have the chance to get the money back (and then do it again with another star).
